We wanted 2 bedroom for 3 nights. 2 bedroom units were booked so Irene gave us a 3 bedroom stand-alone for the same price. Beautifully presented, completely equipped and spotlessly clean -- perfect!! Irene and Linda were extremely friendly and helpful, with a good dose of humour thrown in. Would definitely stay there again

Heron's Cottage is the place we put you into and we bought it just over a year ago and is a wonderful asset to the Motel with being next door to the motel so handy. We we do hope to see you in the future again as there is always more to see Thanks Kindly

We booked online due to the great reviews and were a little sceptical that it could really be that good. We rocked up and it is an older dated motel from the outside but the full reno they have done inside is exceptional. Without a doubt this motel exceeded expectations, super comfy bed, kitchenette with hob and microwave and all the bits and pieces you need. Very modern fit out, toasty warm and friendly team of staff. Was a 1minute walk to the lake front and 12-15minute walk to town. Highly recommend and we stayed in unit 11 which was awesome

Never judge a book by its cover we have a special wee place here with great staff Motel was built about 1973 but the interior has been revamped going on twice in 8 years updating all the time and guest now seem to like our new style and look so more apartments are going to be completed in the near future. Our Website shows it as it actually is and that is what you get for your money. Room 11 has our lovely mountain top Mural lots of guests just love it and we now putting some more local murals up like the Te Anau Jetty in Room 9. Thanks so much for your wonderful stay

We stayed here for one night initially before going into Milford Sound. We booked one night for our return to Te Anau but enjoyed the quietness and comfort so much, we booked another two nights! Located one street back from the lakefront, it's an easy walk into the town. Wake up to the Tui's singing; Spectacular skies and sunsets overtop the motel. The rooms are immaculate, clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed and fabulous shower. There's a laundry for guests too, so it was gresat to be able to do a load of washing! Super friendly managers who go above and beyond for you. Will definitely return for our next Southern adventure.

Its really nice to read a great review on our Motel but also the area. We get guests asking for a quiet room and you have proved our motel is in a quiet place with the sound of the Tui's singing to you in the morning its just wonderful. We do like it when guests come back to stay and pleased you liked us so much. Anytime you feel like a break again we are here for you. Thanks for this review it mean a lot to us and our staff too.
