We chose to stay here in order to shorten the drive to Milford Sounds cruise and it was a very good choice! Not only we could sleep (a little) more than if we have stayed in Queenstown, but the place proved to be very good!
The owner was really nice and welcoming, giving us all the necessary information to visit the surroundings and get to the cruise the following day.
The room was modern, big (huge kitchen too), comfortable and super well equipped.
We could even make some laundry and dry it for a very fair price.
Definitely a good choice!

Thank you for a great review on our Motel its nice to read that you enjoyed your stay plus giving others information like the laundry and room details. It would be nice if people realized that Te Anau is not just a stop over place we do have alot to offer here too like walking, jet Boating, Escape Rooms, Lake Cruises, Farm tours, other than just Milford Sound so guest might stay longer in a lovely quiet place thats not full of traffic and noise. We do hope you took some wonderful photos and memories away with you to share with family and friends Thanks Irene Manager

Stayed here with my husband recently as a base to see some of te anua and do doubtful sound. Great spot near town.
Lovely maintained motel , very friendly staff on check in with some info on the local area and eating spots etc. The room was lovely , do turn on the heater on low if out during the day in winter but it heats the room quick too in the evenings and there was a very appreciated electric blanket after long day tours too . Like most motels your pretty close together so we could hear some neighbors but nothing too loud at all . Great kitchenette if you intend to use it and the bathroom was recently refurbed with a great shower etc.
You can park right outside your room which is super handy and the wifi was really good for us to catch up with home while away
Highly recommend for awesome value for night stay locally :)

Oh what a Superb review as well for us and our staff at the motel. Great information for people looking at staying with us in the future too. We try to provide the guest more with a homely feel and all the comforts possible within a motel. Yes we have a wee cluster of Motels all around us as we are in the older part of Te Anau first built and away from all the residential noise as well so we are in a quiet street but still handy to town just 10 min walk into town and 2 min walk to the lake plus close to the DOC centre for any trampers. Thanks for taking the time to give us a great review

The owners have taken what could have been a very basic spaces and used decorative touches to create a lovely space. The decor was modern but still comfortable and inviting. I did use the on-site laundry (one washer, one dryer available - $4NZ each cycle. Nice bedding. Two USB charging ports in the alarm clock. Our room was exactly as pictured online. Not something you find with every stay! The owners are eco-conscious. Molly is the resident pup and is a very good girl! Very much enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Great wording thank you "Exactly as Pictured" is what I would expect but even when we go on holiday it is not always as pictured which makes me a bit annoyed as its not hard to take photos of your place and present it as it actually is. The Motel building maybe older but we keep it modern inside Yes we do have an onsite laundry with washer / dryer combo costing $4 per load Molly always gets a mention I think she just loves her job Thank you

Our living area and bathroom appeared recently refurbished as they were spotless. The kitchen was well equipped for an extended stay. The motel is on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the Fiordland National Park Visitor's Center and the main shopping area of Te Anau. The receptionist was welcoming and made very good recommendations about dining. We really enjoyed the laid-back environs of Te Anau and the Aden Motel. I would definitely stay here again.

Hello what a great review to read and share with my staff to show that the hard work my staff do is appreciated by guests as I would expect the same quality when we go to stay at places just the same as our guests expect from us when they stay. We have been updating our rooms this last year to have more of a Kiwiana feel to them so you know your staying in Fiordland NZ and not in a Motel room just anywhere. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay in our quiet town and that you didn't find it far to walk to everything you needed. Maybe you might come back and see us again in the future Thank you

This is a newly refurbished motel. We really enjoyed all the extra touches that make the rooms comfortable and add a little personality. Instead of bad motel art, the feature wall behind the bed has a wall-sized photo of a local nature scene and the bed runner is quilted. There are several sustainable features, like the lovely wooden sign by the door that lets you ask for or decline service. We also liked the decorative notice board and the chalked wifi code sign. Most of all we appreciated the hose to rinse the dust off the car after off-road travel.

Wow what a fabulous read on you review about our Motel not too many guests pick up on those details but thank you and yes I understand about bad Motel art as even I have stayed in places whom are in beautiful area's and they have stupid art on the wall nothing about the beautiful area they are in to show guests where they are and rooms that are just a basic motel room with no personality to them like the owners don't care but I do care and the motel is what I expect it should be for the area it is in with beautiful National park all around us so thank you for noticing the details

I spent five nights at the Aden, using it as a base to explore the area.
The hotel is well located; reasonably priced; with spacious, comfortable, and impeccably decorated rooms. Units have been refurbished to a very high and tasteful standard.
All the services and amenities were in good order and worked well - internet, laundry, heating and so on.
The kitchens and bathrooms are modern, and are thoughtfully provided with quality appliances, cooking and serving needs, linens, towels, and toiletries.
Irene and David are knowledgeable about the area, consistently helpful, and completely service orientated.
I heartily recommend the Aden if you plan to be in Te Anau!

Just seeing guest stay longer and enjoy our piece of paradise we have here in Te Anau and really get to know the place as most people only use it as a stop over point for Milford Sound and never get to see Te Anau at all. We also got to know you as a person it was great to have conversations about different topics too. Thanks for the mention of our motel rooms we do try our very best but also listen to our guests to see if we are able to make any improvement to the motel but we are all the time updating and decorating the rooms. We hope at some stage you might just return for another visit All the very best

we liked the Aden Motel as it was affordable, clean and tidy. The best thing for me was that it supports the planet by using Forest and Bird hand soaps, shampoos and body care dispensers in the bathroom. Aden motel also uses compostable rubbish bags, recycle bins and less waste. There is a good outdoor space for the kids and they accept pets - yah!
The manager Irene was most accommodating when we had to change our dates and she also posted some clothing that we left behind to us - at no charge!
Good Kiwi Hospitality!

Hello Nicola Thanks for your wonderful stay with you and your family. We have always tried to be as kind to the enviroment as possible but now we have to use sanitizers its not quite how I would like it but its keeping everyone safe both for our guests and our staff. Molly the dog is a favorite among many of the visitors and she is always so nice to other fur babies that come to stay as she thinks she is queen of the motel. We hope to see you again in the future

Its great to read a good review first thing in the morning and I think if I treat guests the way I want to be treated is what it is all about plus we want people to enjoy their stay with the information they need for the time they spend with us and at the end of their stay we hope they have taken some great memories away with them to tell family and friend about our lovely little town and its people. Thank for for taking the time to give us this review Irene Manager

We wanted 2 bedroom for 3 nights. 2 bedroom units were booked so Irene gave us a 3 bedroom stand-alone for the same price. Beautifully presented, completely equipped and spotlessly clean -- perfect!! Irene and Linda were extremely friendly and helpful, with a good dose of humour thrown in. Would definitely stay there again

Hello Donna well yes you have picked the best cruise Fiordland has to offer Doubtful Sound is by far the best and then do a drive to Milford Sound as the road is the best part of Milford Sound to be honest. I don't think you would regret the price you pay for Doubtful Sound over night cruise. Yes we can store you car plus any extra bags for you that is all part of the service we provide as the bus will pick you up from the Motel and bring you back again. We look forward to seeing your booking
