Irene & David, thanks for being amazing hosts. From the moment I 1st called to organise accommodation for 15 people you were extremely helpful. The Herron Cottage is a great facility that we could all gather at night & was lovely & warm. These guys know how to let their guests relax & anything we needed was no problems.Highly recommend Aden Motels as a place to stay in Te Anau, walking distance from main town centre.

Hotel's Favourite
I spent five nights at the Aden, using it as a base to explore the area. The hotel is well located; reasonably priced; with spacious, comfortable, and impeccably decorated rooms. Units have been refurbished to a very high and tasteful standard. All the services and amenities were in good order and worked well - internet, laundry, heating and so on. The kitchens and bathrooms are modern, and are thoughtfully provided with quality appliances, cooking and serving needs, linens, towels, and toiletries. Irene and David are knowledgeable about the area, consistently helpful, and completely service orientated. I heartily recommend the Aden if you plan to be in Te Anau!

Just seeing guest stay longer and enjoy our piece of paradise we have here in Te Anau and really get to know the place as most people only use it as a stop over point for Milford Sound and never get to see Te Anau at all. We also got to know you as a person it was great to have conversations about different topics too. Thanks for the mention of our motel rooms we do try our very best but also listen to our guests to see if we are able to make any improvement to the motel but we are all the time updating and decorating the rooms. We hope at some stage you might just return for another visit All the very best

I have stayed at luxurious places in Te Anau but much prefer the Aden. It had everything we could want for two friends travelling together: a warm room each, tv channels galore, lovely bright touches, prints of Fiordland on the walls . Everything was generous: great coffee machine, good kitchen equipment and the owner took obvious pride in her establishment and presentation. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I would recommend this motel to everyone as it must rate as one of the best motels I have ever stayed in. We were there for 4 nights. The rooms were spacious with a wonderful king size bed & the kitchenette had everything you would need if eating in each night. The room was warm & very inviting....lovely to come "home" to after a day exploring. It is within easy walking distance of restaurants & hotels in the town.

Arrived on a cold, wet afternoon and was cheered up by a warm welcome and clean, bright, well maintained room. The heat pump soon warmed things up. The unit was very well equipped and comfortable, quiet and peaceful. This was one of the best places I have stayed at in a while, and excellent value. Would happily return.

We stayed at Aden motel prior to walking the Milford track, again after we completed the track and then a 3rd time after we completed the Kepler Track. We stayed in 3 different units - all were spotlessly clean, welcoming and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was a problem. We were able to leave our vehicle at the motels while we tramped. Each unit was very well set out and well equipped. Lovely atmosphere in units. Definitely recommend staying here. Excellent value for money.

Irene and Dave were great hosts .Very kindly allowed us to keep our vehicle on site while we were hiking the Kepler . The rooms were spotless with quality bedding . the Aden is close to a walkway leading to the lake and 500 m stroll to town . Will definitely stay again when in TA.

A great read of this review and it gives other people looking some great information yes we do store vehicles and luggage while people walk the tracks and do overnight trips for them its part of the service. Well if I like nice bedding on my bed then I expect the guest would like the same and that is my whole approach to the motel rooms along with a Fiordland / Kiwiana feel to them. Thanks for choosing to stay with us and anytime you would like to return it would be a please to host you

This was a wonderful surprise, so close to the lake and lovely rooms, with all of the amenties you would want and most importantly magnificently comfortable beds and curtains that blocked all the light. Such great nights sleep. Best of all were the motel management, so obliging and professional, if you are looking for a motel in town, don't look further than Aden.

Thanks so much for a fabulous review on Aden Motel it means alot to us and our staff when guests appreciate the hard work we put into the motel for them. Most used item at a Motel is the bed so we do our very best to provide the best we can with majority of our units now have newer beds and hopefully once more money is around we will replace the small number that aren't new but these ones are still very comfortable. Block out curtains are great over the summer as our evenings are so long its not dark till after 10pm and in the winter they are warmer. Anytime you are back this way or have family or friends we look forward to the arrival

We stayed at the Aden Motel for 3 nights while we explored the area around Te Anau. The unit we were in looked as if it had recently been refurbished so it was very pleasant. The kitchen was excellent as sometimes motel kitchens can be minimal. The corner shower was a little tight and if you were a big person you might find it tricky. The motel has a very cute little dog called Molly who has her own Facebook page.

Mary thank you for a lovely review on our Motel and it is lovely when guests like to stay more than 1 night passing through the town as you know there is lots to see and do in our wee town. Thank you also for supporting us and the town and sharing you money around the place it mean so much to struggling towns. I have to agree about the showers as I have to clean so many of them but yet again with low room rates and high overheads there is nothing left at the moment for any upgrades to be done and the owner of the Motel lost his job so he is unable to afford upgrades either but it is on my list. Molly is the likes the guests she likes to meet everyone and show them to their rooms and get a few pats in as well. Thanks Irene - Manager
