Detailed Reviews
Very good location. Two minute walk to Lake Te Anau and maximum 10 minute walk to the main High Street where there are plenty of restaurants and cafés. Accommodation is fine. Excellent powerful shower in a cubicle. Wi-Fi was good. Owner was very friendly and provided recommendations. Very good location for going onto Milford sound and it took just under two hours to drive there. Recommend going in the morning early as the road gets clogged up with tour buses. Parking at accommodation is right outside your room. Kitchen is stopped with fresh milk. Excellent café at the top of the High Street called sandfly.

The is the perfect place to stay if you're heading to Te Anau. Operaters very friendly and rooms clean and tidy. Room serviced daily and laundry well price only $2 for a wash and $2 for a 35min dry. We would be happy to stay again.

If you are staying in Te Anau be sure to stay at this motel. It doesn't look much from the street but the rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely well appointed. Above all however, the service is exceptional. Check in was a breeze and daily servicing of the rooms included several nice touches not seen in other establishments. Staff were really friendly and the rates represented great value for money. I would reccomend Amber Court Motel unconditionally.

Along the lines of the latest reviews, we would really recommend this place. The motel rooms are very comprehensive, with most everything you would ever need included a full kitchen, and some of them with totally renovated facilities like luxurious toilets! The service is also great, very friendly couple in charge. AND you can tell they are intelligent business people, as they would rather have their rooms full charging less during these tough times... which, for clients, makes this place awesome value for money.

I stayed at the Amber Court for the 4th time now.
This motel is always so clean.
They have a duvet on the bed which is lovely instead of those heavy old bedspreads.
I would come in late each night to a nicely cleaned room, fresh towels and sheets, heater on and blinds shut. Fresh milk in the fridge each day.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
I will always book here when I come to Te Anau.
Highly recommended.

We stayed in the wheelchair accessible room for two nights in February. The hotel provides a shower stool but we brought our own. The grab bar for the toilet is on the right. The bathroom worked for us. The unit was quite roomy with a large bed and a kitchenette and table. We had more than enough room for our stuff. The owners were very friendly and did their best to be helpful to us. We had an unfortunate situation in that my wheelchair confined wife lost a lens from her glasses in the parking lot. After hearing of our difficulty, the owner conducted a search and came up with the lens. We were very grateful for the help and his diligence in finding it. The hotel is well situated in Te Anau and should our travels call for a return, we would definitely stay here again

We stayed 3 nights and experienced delightful service. After longs days out adventuring around Fiordland it was a joy to return back to or room and find our room refreshed and warm. The cleaning was immaculate and really made the place fell like home.

Free parking, close to town, room has ample space, everything that we need was there. Good value for money. Staff/owners were very considerate when I informed them that my extended family and my family were swapping rooms. Highly recommended when visiting Te Anau.

For what we payed this is the best value for money place I’ve ever stayed in. The bed was amazing, huge tv and dvds in the room were great. Everything was clean and the room was warmed before we got there. We stayed here as a cheaper night before splurging on a hotel more than double the cost the following night and I have to say that the bed here was 10x better than the expensive hotel. I could not fault this place and would definitely recommend to anyone. We will definitely stay next time we are in Te Anau :)

Couldn't have asked for a better night stay at Amber Court Motel. Room was fully kitted out with everything you would need during your stay. The comfiest bed I've ever slept in! Our electric blanket was even switched on prior to our late night arrival which was a lovely touch given the cold weather outside.
Would definitely recommend staying here (especially if you're travelling to Milford Sounds)!
