Truly one of the most unique accomodation experiences we have ever had. Absolutely magnificent views, lovely hosts, generously provided farm-sourced baked goods and breakfast provisions and a beautiful room. But more importantly than all of that, you can walk about 5 meters from your room to the most charming little farm paddock in the world and feed, pat and interact with their motley crew of Alpacas, Sheep, Goats, Deer and Chickens who all seem to think they are dogs! Amazing, an absolute highlight of our trip - highly recommended.

Thank you for your very complimentary review. It was such a pleasure to host you both & delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay. Our paddock of "friendly farm animals " enjoy the company as much as our guests!

We were so looking forward to our stay at Dusky Ridges as a treat after 3 days on the Kepler Track & we were not disappointed at all & exceeded our expectations, it was soooo nice ! Win & Henrik are so amazingly hospitable, kind & lovely, we were so welcomed ! Home baked goodies, bread, fruit lovely eggs & bacon welcomed us, as well as beautiful beds & linen, all so nice ! We met with the animals, with beautiful views to lake & mountains and a beautiful native garden. We would thoroughly recommend Dusky Ridges & would definitely stay again and hope to do so again soon !

This is how to run a holiday stay. Slightly out of Te Anau (10 mins) but with spectacular views and the farm animals around. We stayed in the two bed unit and it was spotless. The fridge was stocked and there was fresh bread each day. There was a beer and a bottle of wine. Loads of lovely toiletries available and comfy beds. Stay here if in Te Anau.

We don't usually write about an NZ experience, but Dusky Ridges was well beyond expectations. Win's hospitality is second to none, easlily the best food and bottle of wine left in the room and freshly baked bread.... + more treats !! Very natural and friendly couple our outside self contained cottage was so comfortable and absoulutely spotless, would recommend to any visitors wanting to stayin Te Anau, only 5 mins from town.

The glowing reviews are true! Our expectations were far exceeded. We feel so fortunate to have been able to experience the lovely hospitality warmth and compassion of Win and Henrik. Dusky ridges and it’s cast of four legged characters is a beautiful treasure. Staying here has been a highlight of our trip across the ditch.
