Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a cosy little pod which was perfect for a solo traveler. Had all the amenities that were needed. Helpful having a storage room to store bags for the day of checking out. Super convenient walk down the street to town. I thought that road noise may be an issue but didn't seem to be over powering. Great stay.

Prime location, just a minutes walk from town, really good spot for this years Queenstown half marathon shuttle. We appreciate the staff who were very busy but still very very friendly. We had a small incident where some random family was in our room who hadn’t paid for a bed but the staff member was quick to sort this out for us and investigate. Overall really great hostel and we would recommend this to anyone.

Happy that I chose Tahuna, very close to everything in Queenstown ie the lake, attractions, supermarket. My pod was comfortable and the bathroom was well maintained daily - the kitchen was well equipped also. The staff keeps everything running. I'm happy to stay here again.

I stayed here with a friend for what was meant to be 2 nights but ended up being 4. The facilities at this hostel are amazing, comfy beds, big kitchen, cosy living room and right in the centre of town. Also the cheapest we found in queenstown by far. I would 100% stay here again.
