This is the best place to stay in Queenstown! The location is amazing, cooked to order breakfast each morning and nightly happy hour with canapés and drinks is an added bonus. The concierge service of Julian, Camille, Diego and Lucretia was top notch. All restaurant recommendations were delicious, and helping us organize our day was very helpful. We stayed 5 nights, and we loved every minute!

I rarely write reviews, but my husband and I are avid travelers. We normally stay at large hotels, but were so happy we decided to stay at this boutique hotel in Queenstown. We have a week reservation, and leave in a couple of days. We were so impressed with the personal touches. The team member Anouk was amazing. She knew our 2 year old daughter's name, and even the names of her stuffed animals. Honestly, she really helped make our stay and I hope her employers realize how lucky they are to have someone with great attention to detail such a professional manner as part of their team!
As for other parts of the hotel, it was very clean and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location is good. A 5 minute walk to town, which kept things quiet, yet convenient. I would highly recommend!

LOVE, LOVE, and more LOVE!!! We arrived on Christmas day from the US and loved our quaint room with views, windows, fireplace, and a deck overlooking the park.
We met Anouk shortly after arriving, and she scheduled all of our activities for us while we were in Queenstown. In my opinion, she went above and beyond scheduling canyoning, bungee jumping, Nevis bungee and swing, and best of all skydiving at 15,000ft!
The breakfast here is terrific! Maybe too beautiful as I wanted to eat everything! Ha!
The location is beyond perfect as it is quiet but close to town, the park, gondola, restaurants, Queenstown Hill trailhead, running trails, the lake, meeting point for Nevis Bungy, skydiving, and the grocery store.
The snacks and wine hour around 6:00 pm every night was excellent! The small bites are lovely, and the other tourists are fun to talk too.
Lenny, the manager, is super sweet and makes you feel right at home!
I am a big fan of Queenstown and this property, and I will return!!

We thoroughly enjoyed a 4 day break at the QPBH and every aspect of our stay was just wonderful.
The room was extremely well presented, with expansive views of the tree-lined Queenstown peaks. The room was very bright and airy, with cleverly architected light flows from the ensuite through to the bedroom together with carefully placed mirrors that reflect the stunning vista.
The ensuite bathroom was beautifully finished with a large walk-in shower and a generous hand basin and surrounds.
The linen and towels are of the highest, luxurious, quality, adding to the feeling of being spoiled.
The evening drinks and canapés offered a wonderful opportunity to share travel and adventure stories with like-minded travelers, and added to the very social atmosphere that permeates the hotel. Ken and Ella were great hosts.
The cooked breakfast choices were both plentiful and beautifully cooked in the open kitchen, adjacent to the dining area. We also appreciated the very well equipped and discreet kitchenette for the evening we choose not to eat out.
QPBH is a very short walk to Queenstown Town Centre and, as frequent travellers who have used a wide variety of accommodation in Queenstown and Wanaka, we have most certainly found the best of them all.
We are looking forward to our next visit and thoroughly recommend the quality of accommodation and staff, including Ella and Marika, that Ken has put together for the most discerning of visitors.

Stayed three nights here near the beginning of our NZ holiday. Wonderfully placed: within walking distance (or, if you prefer, a short taxi ride) of pretty much everything Queenstown has to offer, albeit up a rather steep hill.
Our spotlessly clean room had a breathtaking view across the lake, and was (given the location) quiet with a very comfy bed. On checking in, we were told we had access to an adjoining room, which was great since we could park our suitcases there, and that we could park our car almost directly outside - made unloading all the easier.
We were here for three nights and to be honest wished it had been longer: there is SO much to do in and around Queenstown (don't miss the Kiwi Birdpark), much of it within walking distance - our car just sat in the drive the whole time we were there.
No serious downers as far as we were concerned: no air conditioning (although the fan in our room kept us plenty cool enough the one night we needed it), no safe in the room (although sure they'd let you deposit items for safekeeping if you wanted). If we had one negative comment, it was that the staff, whilst very polite and efficient, did not seem quite as engaging as they might have been: it was a little disconcerting to find breakfast staff engaged in animated conversation with each other, but who repeatedly turned on their heel and walked away when we attempted some small talk with them.
A good four and a half stars. And with regard to the acid test: would we come back here? Yes.

We were excited to come to Queenstown and wondered, with the plethora of activities and options, where should we stay? One of our best decisions was to decide to ditch the car. Most of New Zealand is easy driving, but Queenstown is a bit crazy. I blame the steep hills, along with a large number of, (probably) Americans such as myself, driving like maniacs. We also needed room for our family of five. The Queenstown Park boutique hotel was the perfect choice.
The location could not be better. It was simply fabulous to be able to walk outside and in a matter of moments be in a park, take a gondola up the mountain, or go to dinner or shopping. Truly there is no need for a car.
I think the only way to describe the level of service, is simply “concierge.“ It was just such a high level of caring and attention to detail and helpfulness by all of the ladies working in the front of the hotel; they really elevated our experience. They helped us with finding places to eat, getting a package shipped from Christchurch, and on and on.
The room itself was fabulous. We had the large sort of “tower” room with a bedroom upstairs, a kitchenette and another bedroom. Though there might of been a little bit of a lack of privacy as some of the windows looked out directly onto the street, there were plenty of shades to draw. The lighting is absolutely fabulous as is the decor and design of this suite.
Happy hour was a divine experience – and my kids were perfectly content to stay in the room while we enjoyed this more adult activity. It is not to say that the kids would be unwelcome, but this is a nice moment to take a quiet time to enjoy a glass of wine and a small bite. The breakfast was fantastic – they adapted the schedule for us so we could go on a Milford sound tour with plenty of time, and there were many delicious options.
We stayed in over nine different kinds of hotels on our journey to New Zealand, and everyone of us said we would be back to the Queenstown Park Boutique hotel.

+1
This beautiful boutique hotel is exactly that. From the moment we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted and felt at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and with wonderful view. We stayed in The Gondola room, bed was comfortable, climate control great and the room had a smell kitchenette with all the necessities including coffee machine. I loved the bathroom with spacious walk in shower and glass ceiling allowing you to see the sky and snow falling if fortunate enough to be in Queenstown when it snows. Breakfast was included and cooked a la carte with a lovely assortment of fruits, pastries, yoghurts, tea and coffee machine. Julian and Diego were fabulous hosts and available to help with anything you may want to plan whilst here. A very short walk into town along almost flat road makes this the perfect location, far enough from noise in town centre. Rooms facing road have a bit of street noise from cars in morning and people talking loudly when walking past. Overall, a charming place to stay and we highly recommend staying here when visiting Queenstown.

We had three nights in Queenstown at the Queenstown Park Hotel and weren’t disappointed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, a cooked breakfast was included plus drinks and canapés nightly. This was a great way to meet other guests therefore no awkwardness experienced!
Our room was ground floor with a private courtyard, we had great weather so enjoyed this feature. Our room was large enough for a living area which we appreciated and it was only a 5 mins walk to town.
Would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights and had many issues with cleanliness, housekeeping services, and a clogged drain which were reported to management. However, these issues were never resolved. Upon leaving the hotel, the manager approached us and said we would be given some sort of refund due to our dissatisfaction. Of course, we never heard back from the hotel, so we contacted the hotel several times, and their response was Expedia would not refund us anything. We contacted Expedia and their response was the hotel is responsible for a refund, and this message was relayed to the hotel. The hotel couldn't even have the decency to respond and went back on their promise.

We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel itself is modern and well-designed. The location is an easy walk to all of Queenstown's highlights but set a bit away from the crowds, which makes it a really peaceful spot. Breakfast was delicious. The staff really made the hotel stand out. They were so welcoming, and gave lots of good recommendations for our time in New Zealand.

No, not really. It’s very pleasant and adequate, but it doesn’t have any up-market add-ons.
Breakfast 6 or 6.30am start and yes they will pack you breakfast. Plenty of skiers have an early start although we didn’t ski from there.

I can confirm there is no construction at the hotel at present. Our new rooms were opened in November 2018. Kind regards, Trish on behalf of QPBH.
