Queenstown Holiday Park Creeksyde is often celebrated for its prime location close to central Queenstown and its uniquely quirky and artsy atmosphere. Guests have called out the spacious, clean rooms, though some find the decor rather basic. Praises also go to the hotel's cleanliness and the friendly staff.
However, some travelers argue that the hotel does not provide value for money, pointing out misleading pricing and additional costs. While the amenities are noted to be clean and well-maintained, issues with Wi-Fi and limited resources have been mentioned.

Detailed Reviews
We have been travelling around New Zealand in a Britz 7.2 m camper van, so one of the big ones, and we booked into Creeksyde for 4 nights over Christmas. The location is 5 star, for walking into the centre of town, it takes 5 minutes, the gondola is close by too. There is a shop opposite too for some food shopping if you don’t want to drive anywhere, in fact we didn’t drive anywhere for the 4 days. The pitches look a bit small, but how much room do you really need, we had space for a table and chairs outside. We made use of the outdoor shared cooking space which was a gas hot plate and two gas rings. There is also good table space for several groups to share. There was also some indoor cooking space and laundry. There were a couple of showers and toilets in our area which meant you sometimes had to wait but when you are on holiday that doesn’t matter.
A great place with so much to do on the doorstep.

Hi Sarahcopple, Thanks for taking the time to write us a review :) It sounds like you enjoyed your stay here to the fullest! Leaving your campervan (especially one that big) here and walking everywhere is the best way to do it, as we are so close to everything. Glad you had a great time here, we would love to have you stay with us again sometime.

The Park had plenty of toilets available within a short walking distance from each camp site, a cosy lounge, and even a well that we could refill our water in. It was very conveniently located next to two supermarkets and a short walk to town. Only drawback was the price which at $67 for two person a night was the highest we paid in our trip

This was one of the best campsites we stayed at in NZ.
Staff were friendly and helpful and were always busy cleaning, emptying bins etc. The site had a cosy feel to it. We were lucky to have a powered site in a circle of four units which surrounded an open hut with sink.stove and BBQ which had a nice feel to it.
Very quiet and relaxed ambience.
Toilets were the best we have experienced, clean and even had foot mats in the showers, picturesque images of NZ and decent showers.
Poshest dump stations too, with drive over grey water disposal, so no attaching your hose and flushing toilet waste dumps with decent hand washing facilities.
Location is good albeit a ten/fifteen minute walk to the centre, with a supermarket around the corner and fuel station just up the road.
We stayed here only because the one at the bottom of the Skyline was full which was a god send as this site is very good and I would thoroughly recommend to any camper.

Hi Jasper, you've really made our day! Thank you so much for such wonderful feedback, and for recommending us to other campers. As you've mentioned, our location is second to none, with grocery shops close by, and a petrol station around the corner (which can refill gas bottles). We look forward to seeing you again.

This is a fantastic camp site, with spotlessly clean free showers and toilets, very nice kitchens, even teatowels and detergent to use. The grounds are beautiful with cool bits of iron creations scattered throughout. They will have you going 'Wow' every few minutes as you walk around and on top of all this, the staff will make you feel very welcome. You have a short, flat 5 min walk into town and awesome coffee and groceries right across the road at the Market. This has been the nicest holiday park we have stayed at during our 3 month break, touring around the South Island and pretty soon we will be back home and this memory will remain for best value for money, location and friendliness.
Tnank you Margaret, Bex and the cute gardener guy for a very pleasant experience 😊

Super clean and has all you need. close proximity to the centre of Queenstown means you can walk everywhere and many tour shuttles are only a 5 minute walk away. This was our 3rd stay at Creeksyde and we will return whenever we are in the area. Facilities are spotlessly clean and reception staff are brilliant with local knowledge and booking any activities with great discounts for people staying at the park. Also great park to walk around and check out the quirky gardens and bbq areas. 10/10

Stayed in a lodge with my young daughter. She loved meeting all the people from different parts of the world in the shared lounge. We broke our key (user error) and it was replaced promptly and couteously. Every time we popped back during the day, there were at least 2 people cleaning various parts of the lodge. It was immaculate.
No real noise insulation in the lodge, so if other guests were partying you could hear everything.

The location is quite central to the city centre, just 15 min walk with narrow roadpath at the campsite. Cooking utencils and dish washing detergent provided. Very unique and creative designs eg toilets murals, artifacts of the water point, etc.. Even has an outdor filtered water top-up point. Though the toilet cubicles are not many - only 3, but has a few groups of toilets at different locations - so overall sufficient for the communal users. No regrets staing there for 2 nights at the powered campsite. Construction roadworks still ongoing at the city centre in Nov 2022, so driving into city centre esp. with a large vehicle like 6 berth motorhome is not recommended. Overall enjoyed my stay here at Creeksyde.

Location felt a bit tired, cleanliness in kitchens wasn’t great and half the site closed off half way through our visit causing congestion for minimal cooking / sink / shower facilities. Particularly as the price per night $65 Is high compared to other recent sites stayed at.
Asked to speak to manager to discuss facility issues but got no response☹️
Most of staff where helpful but received a poor welcome from an individual when wishing to discuss a different park site; Which actually remained empty throughout our stay

Creekside is very small and compact but perfect for a stay in a motorhome in Queenstown. It is close to the centre - a 10 minute walk at most. The cooking and lounge areas are spotless and more importantly my wife things the toilets, particularly the showers are the best yet on our 4 week trip around New Zealand.
The reception is excellent- very helpful and full of advise. If I had to give a couple of poor points, it would be no Sky TV and when departing the queue at dump station blocks others attempting to leave.
A little more expensive, but well worth it.

This campsite is very close to central town for a Ferg’s burger (a must while in Queenstown) and the lake front area with a super market only 200 mtrs away.
This place so well planned out that most spots have some privacy, with multiple areas with bathrooms and kitchens as well as clearly labeled rubbish & recycling areas. The property is full of quirky things that add to the character including the dump station and one of the bathrooms.
Bathrooms are immaculate with cleaning crew regularly zipping around the property on golf carts.
We’ve stayed at the other campsite by the gondolas before and this holiday park is much preferred and you don’t have to climb the steep steps to get down to town.
We would highly recommend this to anyone who is planning to stay in Queenstown in a camper van
