Stayed 4 nights in the July 2020 school holidays. 2A and 3C. Great location, great apartment. Warm and spacious.
The heated toilet with 4,264 settings and buttons was a highlight.
Laundry facilities were unexpected but welcomed.
Just watch the kids when it comes to the spa bath. There is not unlimited hot water as I found out standing under a ice cold shower.

Great location for walking in and around Queenstown-friendly staff-very clean unit - easy parking right out front - fully self contained and we shopped and prepared our own meals-quiet enough at night for good night's sleep-great views of the lake and mountains from our balcony-wifi available at a cost - we would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to stay.

I am not usually one to write a bad review but I can’t pass on this one.
Positives - location to walk to town and a hot shower. That’s it. Arrived at the hotel to see a closed sign telling us to walk up the road to the next hotel to book in.
The person behind the counter was very arrogant and rude, he had someone on the phone on speaker while he scanned our ID and charged us $150 bond for one night. He made it clear that if one tiny thing was out of order he would keep the bond money, even if the neighbours said there was any noise from our room.
We got pointed to the room, had nowhere to park and had to walk up three flights of steep concrete stairs to get to our three bedroom apartment. Once inside we wanted a coffee, low and behold, no milk. The apartment was run down, dirty and not serviced well.
We opened the two drawers where the cutlery would usually be kept and it was full of building supplies. The sink in the bathroom downstairs did not plug. And when you opened the bathroom window there was a used condom and wrapper right in front of you.
When told about this the hotel said “okay we will remove it”
The outside “balcony” was so dirty, all the chairs were covered in weeks worth of dust/leaves.
I am guttered that this hotel has been let go like this.
A change of attitude, staff and a renovation should do the trick .

I booked in advance in April 2021 for 14nights in July 2022. The hotel sent me a message In June 2022 stating they have double booked us on the system in a 3 bedroom and we could no longer stay there…. International plans have been made and this is so far from acceptable! Booking.com tried to find accomodation for us which is 2 hotel rooms compared to a 3 bedroom executive suite with a full kitchen etc. this was far from satisfactory for a family with young children.
NEVER BOOK!
They just want to cash in on higher rates than what we booked rather than being loyal to the customer who booked in advanced. I have no words!
Why did I bother organising my kids their passports when we have nowhere to stay? what a waste of planning and money when no accomodation anywhere is available 1month out! How can this company sleep at night treating families like this!

This was available hence we booked. Reception was really friendly and helpful. The place was right across the road from the water and very close to centre. It was spacious and had what we needed. As it is very dated, worn and in need of some repair, it is not worth the price. The decor is very tired, linen old, curtains falling down and windows in lounge don’t close.

DO NOT stay here! Rather cold day in Queenstown, the receptionist was rude and just simply pointed in the direction of our room. Got to the room and it was freezing no heating on for us, dated decor, mouldy window sashes, no milk for coffees, windows broken, only one channel on tv.
Location and showers are literally the only positive things I could say. Guess you get what you pay for....

This complex is tired, unkempt, and bargain basement . It is fabulously located....that’s about it! Oh yes, really hot shower! Never recommend it. So old , and rundown. If you had one night and just needed to crash, and got this at rock bottom prices maybe you could consider it.

We planned our tour of New Zealand and booked all our accommodation almost a year ahead of time.
Our booking at The Lodges was for an "Executive 3 bedroom apartment" with en-suite facilities. On arrival the accommodation given included 3 bedrooms, all on the upper floor. One was at the front and was very small with twin beds and no bathroom facilities. The second was at the rear, even smaller but with double bed but no bathroom facilities, hardly any space to walk around and a cupboard for a wardrobe that would't open as the handle was missing. The third at the front was a little bigger with some hanging space, a shower and sink but no WC.
There was a separate bathroom (no WC) and separate WC upstairs on the floor with the bedrooms and a separate WC off the laundry room downstairs. Neither WC had locks on the doors.
It was clearly not an Executive 3 bedroom apartment all with en-suite.
The back door had a lock but it was inadequate to provide real security so each night we put a door against it beneath the handle.
The decoration was tired.
The bedrooms had windows for ventilation but being on the main road and with lots of people passing by into the early hours, especially on Fridays and at the weekends it was impossible to sleep with the windows open making the rooms like an oven.
There was a car parking space on the front but a couple of flights of stairs up to the accommodation. This was fine for us but for anyone less able or with a disability it would probably not be a good choice.
There is no doubt that accommodation had a fantastic outlook across the lake and mountains. Sitting on the balcony looking at this and watching the world go by was great but the simple fact is that the website advertises a 3 bedroom apartment of which two bedrooms have an en-suite and the third a separate bathroom.
When first raising the issue with the receptionist she tried telling me that bookings through third parties can go wrong but offered no apology or help. Our booking was in fact made directly with them.
When another member of our group took the issue up with the owner, it became clear that the apartment we had booked had been given to someone else! After a while he offered a reduction in price and to move two of or group to another apartment for the second night. We had no alternative but to accept this given that we needed somewhere to stay.
There were three couples in our group so I asked for three keys only to be told there were only two. I asked if another could be cut and was told no. However when another member of the group spoke to the manager another key was forthcoming!
If you are looking for accommodation that offers a view this is a great place. If you are looking to ensure that you get on arrival what you booked and that your accommodation is clean, well appointed, secure and that if there is a problem they do not try to fob you off and mistakenly blame someone else you might want to think again.
I am disappointed to have to write such a review but it is factual and is meant by way of making others aware of the pitfalls to try and avoid.
Ultimately this place did not meet my definition of "Executive" accommodation and may not be the place for the more discerning traveller who wants more than a good view.
Queenstown is a fantastic place with lots of well appointed accommodation and great views all over the place. It is well worth researching the area to find the best place for your needs.

This unit was perfect for our group of four adults travelling together, The two room apartment with two bathrooms and extra toilet makes it all worthwhile even if you have to pay a small cost for the wifi.
The room was well equiped with beautiful views across the lake. We loved it so much we even went back on our way back through Queenstown. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after.
