Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We found the lodge centrally located with a short walk down the hill the harbor and town. Plenty of fun places to eat and drink. Loved the Gardens. Helpful staff and good bus services nearby to get around. Laundry room appreciated! Great patio.

The lake front, centre of town and the eating, drinking action is less than 300 metres from here, you are so close yet out of the noise. Our room was spacious with a large bed, nice bathroom, good shower, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Downstairs there is covered parking and a guest laundry.

This was the last hotel on our 3 week road trip around NZ. We spent two nights here and while we paid a little more for Coronation Lodge than other places it was well worth it. Central but quiet location by the lovely Queenstown Gardens, views of the mountains from the balcony, and a large and very comfortable bedroom. Convenient parking underneath the hotel with street parking also available outside. Queenstown is fab and this is a great base to explore it.

Well located for an easy stroll in the attractions of town. Agree with other reviews that it had a ski lodge feel. Wood focus and bright. Clean. Basic amenities. Small, some parking underneath the building. Refrigerator and coffee/ teas setup. Certainly adequate, but nothing luxurious or special.

This place has a simple, ski lodge feel: it's perfectly fine, and functional, but not luxurious by any means. I do take issue with the website claiming "With the conveniences you would expect of a 4-star Hotel" -- this really is not the case. Our "deluxe king" room felt more "standard" to me. It was a strange shape, not very spacious for 2 people with luggage. The shower soaked the bathroom floor (other reviews talk about a heated floor, but we couldn't find a switch for this). A big puddle on the floor would be a real pain in winter. Breakfast is NOT available, -- this is *still* wrong on the FAQ page on the website -- but we were allowed to use all the facilities in the breakfast room (fridge, dishes, etc). So you can just bring your own food, and there is a 24 hour convenience store very close. However, it differs from what we expected, and the information / description when we booked. Parking: spaces and turning are quite tight... there is not a space for every room, so the system relies on some guests arriving without cars, however, but we didn't have a problem. Excellent location. The staff here work hard: one person is cleaning rooms and looking after the front desk. This seems to reflect labour shortages in NZ as a whole and Queenstown. Because of this, the Reception hours listed on the website are also incorrect. Good eco policies: for example you can opt out of daily housekeeping, and if you do laundry, there is a clothes line + pegs available to air dry. If you're in Queenstown at a busy time of year, be sure to make dinner reservations. (The whole town was buzzing when we were there.) If stuck for a meal, try the Bavarian restaurant, up the hill near the gondola.

Great location - close to town but pleasantly by the park and actually very quiet. Clean and comfortable. Nice terrace outside. Good carparking on site. Laundry. Good sized rooms. Stored our luggage while we tramped. Friendly helpful staff.

Just a 300 metres walk to the lake front and all the action of the eating drinking precinct the location is ideal. Our room was spacious with a large bed, nice bathroom, great shower, fridge, microwave, stove top and tea and coffee making facilities. Down stairs covered parking and a guest laundry.

Stayed two nights in very clean comfortable twin room. Great location, especially with no vehicle. Double and single bed very comfortable, balcony nice on warm afternoon. Top floor might be better due to noisy guests above otherwise no problems. No milk available from arriving until later next morning. Was told due to order not completed but lady was very busy doing everything. We noticed staff issues throughout Queenstown at this time

This is easily our top pick of accommodation options in Queenstown. The location is absolutely perfect, literary a few minutes walk to town through a beautiful garden. We booked the 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and homely - and was exactly what we wanted for a 3 night stay and being able to self cater our breakfast. The manager Jasmine was very friendly and she went out of her way to help us when we locked ourselves out of the room after reception had closed for the night. Overall great value for money and an excellent choice.

Clean and comfortable accommodation so close to town yet quiet. A large sunny room and very helpful staff. There’s good parking in the basement and a well equipped laundry. It’s very well priced for the location
