We stayed for a night here (after 3 days' stay in another hotel nearby) during Christmas/ New Year peak season when hotel rooms in Queenstown are so demanding and we were nearly unable to book a room. So when we noticed vacancy at this lodge, we were so delighted and booked without hesitation.
One needs to walk a bit uphill from the city centre for 15 mins. I find the location fine though. There is a bus stop just in the opposite side of the road where we got a public bus to the airport (15-20 mins ride).
Our rooms are not facing the lake but right next to the road. We were satisfied as the rooms were clean functional and very spacious.
For eating, seems there are no restaurants nearby although one may go to the hotels around for meals or otherwise make own meals with the microwave or toaster in the room.

Vicki was awesome! We loved our location, our gorgeous view of the lake, and our comfy room. We really appreciated that Vicki took time to recommend excursions and show us how to get around town easily.
The rooms were very clean and a good size. The kitchenette was convenient, and it was so nice that staff took our dirty dishes every day. We appreciated having laundry facilities on site, and we liked all the community space and sitting areas available at Earnslaw Lodge . It was also easy to walk anywhere around the downtown area in 15 minutes or so. Recommended!

I must have visited Qtown at least 25 times over many years. This was my/our last visit for the foreseeable future, and first time we stayed here. Dramatic Lake Views says the sign outside. Well yes indeed!
In just under 48 hours we had so many versions of the awesome view as weather and light changed, including the early morning fog/water level cloud that I'll upload a pic of. With the bonus of more snow on the top of mountains than we'd have expected a month into spring. We were in room 10.
This isn't luxury hotel, but the room had everything we needed. The balcony is shared and from google street view I initially assumed it doubled as a walkway, which in theory it does but rooms (at least on our level) are far more easily accessed from within the building. Had a direct view from bed through the windows/glass slider to the ever-stunning Mt Cecil. Stand near the windows/slider or out on the balcony for a view taking in a bit chunk of the Remarkables and all across the mountains down the southwest side of the lake. What a joy at any time of day.
It was also a surprisingly warm building. The room was pre heated by an old school (somewhat literally) column heater which was very effective and we spent almost all of the time with it off, and even had the slider and/or the bathroom window open a bit. All in all we loved it and so happy this is where we stayed for a trip that was both an anniversary and the last visit to QT for possibly years.

The views are amazing ( although you pay extra for it) but the room was very tired and in need of refurbishment. There was a microwave, kettle and toaster but no washing up facilities. We were advised to leave any dirty dishes and they would be replaced- which they were but that was the only service we received in our room . We had to request towels as there weren’t any in the bathroom. Amenities were very basic. We loved Queenstown but wouldn’t recommend this motel

We stayed in room 5 for two nights and were pleased with all aspects of the stay - Steve was on reception and allowed us to check in ahead of schedule, the room was clean and well equipped and the view of the lake was amazing. It was only a short walk into the city centre and the bus stop to/from the airport is just outside. On the day we left, we were able to leave our bags in reception until we needed to leave for the airport.

Parking is pretty scarce in Queenstown so being able to park outside your room is very much a bonus! It’s a little way out of the main part of town and there isn’t much around in terms of cafes and restaurants, you really have to drive back into the main part of Queenstown. The rooms are comfortable and fairly large although a little tired. It was quiet and warm so that’s all we really wanted.

Sadly this motel is dated, noisy and not good value, the beds are so soft I slept on the ground, the noise from other rooms was terrible. Car parking is available but it’s tight, great heating, the view is beautiful but I won’t be staying again. It’s right on the road but not noisy and quite close to town if you know the gardens path.

The view from our room was incredible. Amazing, picture perfect view of The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. The hotel is dated and we needed to ask for a few things that were forgotten however we were provided with anything we needed when we asked. One big plus was the enormous radiator that kept us warm, and there’s one in the bathroom so our towels stayed warm, too. Don’t expect modern comforts, but if you just want a clean, comfortable room with a view most places would charge a lot more for, then this served us wonderfully. We also had the best nights’ sleep here.

Room upstairs with a most beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains! 10 minute walk to the central part of Queenstown. The most beautiful city on the planet!! The staff was very informative and their two pups like to greet visitors when you arrive. Balcony had chairs to relax and watch sunset and southern cross in the sky! Recommend this place for a long or short visit!

The place seems a little run down and the walls were very thin. Bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was amazing. There were only 3-4 off-street parks and this was awkward for our tour van with its luggage trailer. The road is very busy but rooms were at the back so noise wasn't too bad. It was great to be able to choose our own breakfast items from the buffet instead of having preselected items delivered to the room.

I am sorry but not being a vegetarian I am unsure. However, the owner was very accommodating and I am sure that if you direct your question to the hotel itself I am sure they will assist.
There are more places to choose from in the Queenstown area.
