This is a remarkable place. All the staff were amazing and so helpful. Nothing was to much for them. Always friendly and smiling. The room is spacious and comfortable. The in- room dining is great when you are in a lazy mood. The chef is excellent and the afternoon drinks and canapés were lovely. The views from the room is spectacular. A must stay!

A huge thank you to all the team at Azur for a brilliant stay; Charlotte, Luke, Seajay, Gavin and Matt, just to name a few who contributed to our 5-star experience. We didn't know what to expect landing into Queenstown after lockdown and with reports of the town being quiet. However, from the moment we landed, we were looked after by the team who couldn't do enough for us to make our stay easy, enjoyable, relaxing and luxurious! We took advantage of their local knowledge, hiking the Moonlight track from Moke Lake to Arthurs point and returning to Azur to enjoy drinks by the fire and canapés on offer every evening. The accommodation is very spacious with incredible views including a jacuzzi bath overlooking lake Wakatipu and a well-stocked fridge of complimentary drinks and snacks. Whilst there is plenty of space to relax in the accommodation, there is also the main house to enjoy.

This was our third visit to Queenstown and considering the impact of COVID lockdown, we were surprised by how busy the restaurants and bars were - we really enjoyed a night of live music at Little Blackwoods and soaking up the atmosphere in the cafe's and shops around town!

We can't recommend Azur highly enough if you are looking for a peaceful, stunning location just 5 minutes out of town (free shuttles provided). Excellent breakfast, attentive and friendly staff and everything you need to enjoy Queenstown.

We will be back!

Wow!!! Thankyou Emily and Josh for your wonderful review of Azur (I guessed it was you after you mentioned the Moonlight Track Hike). It was a real pleasure having you stay with us and it was fabulous welcoming you back to Queenstown and to Azur for your first stay with us. With Lockdown resulting in no guests being able to stay with us for sometime, it was great being able to do what we do best, and that is to truly take care of such a lovely couple like yourselves from when you arrived to when you had to return to the North Island. All of the staff shout out a big Hello and we hope that one day you will come and stay with us again if you decide to stay in New Zealand. Perhaps I can encourage you to do The Bungy jump next time!! Warmest regards, Charlotte and the staff at Azur.

Did not want to leave this remarkable place. Queenstown is happening. We were looking for a place with access to all the fun, but with a chiller vibe. Azur uses their perfect location and jaw-dropping views in just the right way. Each suite is private, with an outdoor deck, soaking tub with mountain and lake views, fireplace, mini bar that is restocked (and included in the room rate). Their kitchen staff make delicious breakfasts and offer both tea and evening canapés. But since they do not serve dinner, they have drop-off and pickup service in Queenstown, and they also offer to bring out carry-out into your own villa for dinner. Staff was attentive, warm, and helpful every step of the way.

We booked in for 5 nights at Azur based on great reviews and we weren't disappointed! We'd rate Azur's facility and services on par with some of the best luxury resorts we stayed at overseas. Azur is located in the more residential area of Queenstown but is only 10 mins drive to the CBD. We were picked up from the airport and were provided with pick up/drop off services to the main Queenstown shops/restaurants up on request. So we had the most stunning view of the mountain and lake from our villa; and the convenience afforded by the close proximity to CBD. Breakfast at Azur is fantastic and is included in the room rate. Though Azur doesn't have a full kitchen, we were well catered for with the pre-dinner drinks and platters and snacks in between. We had to cut our trip short due to the sudden Covid alert level changes in New Zealand, the resort tried their best to accommodate us and the unexpected. My hubby and I agreed that we have to be back to Queenstown soon to finish the unfinished; and Azur would be our preferred choice of accommodation. Thanks for looking after us during our short stay at Azur. Hope to see you again in the near future!

We spent 3 nights here and rather wished we had spent 4 as we not only loved the Azur but loved Queenstown! Each villa is beautifully decorated with a very luxurious bathroom and the most stunning view of the lake. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. On our first night we had a 'dial in dinner' and on the other two we went out in Queenstown. The lodge offers an 'on demand shuttle service' in and out of town for dinner which is wonderful. They offer tea, canapés and complimentary drinks either in the main building or your own lodge. We highly recommend this place!

Thankyou for taking the time to leave your lovely review of Azur. We definately live in a beautiful part of the world and we are fortunate enough to be situated in such a beautiful spot so that you can take in the views of the Lake and mountains of Queenstown every day from your villa and balcony. Our complimentary shuttle is fantastic in that you don't have to worry about driving or finding a parking space and you can enjoy one of Otago's delicious glasses of wine in town! Thankyou again and I hope you come and stay with us again in the near future. Warmest regards, Charlotte

Our stay at Azur was amazing!!

It was all special thanks to Mia. Mia is such an asset to the lodge. We honestly received the best customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life thanks to Mia. Mia makes you feel like a friend you have had for years and a valued customer. Nothing was too much. After lots of emails back and fourth on my behalf to ensure our stay was comfortable, I was greeted by Mia and a big hug. She has the most warm genuine nature.

It felt like the whole team was there to please and ensure our stay was one to remember. Just a few examples. I am currently pregnant and every hotel we stayed at, alcohol was such a big part of the experience. So I didn’t feel left out they organised me alcohol free sparkling as a surprise. They also organised for our luggage to be personally taken to our next accomodation. I left my earrings in the room and they made another trip to take it to the other accomodation. The bath and view is incredible!! The best accomodation for views over Queenstown. We stayed in 4 different places on our stay and every time we wished we were back at Azur or wished we had booked Azur for the whole stay.

You get the choice of whatever you feel like for breakfast and it is made fresh in the morning. We were off to the snow and they ensured it was fresh and ready very early in the morning. It’s so nice to have something private, the villa was very private and stunning.

The villa was shown to us for a good 25 minutes explaining all the features in detail. It made us feel at home. Not like the other hotels that gave us the keys and explained where we needed to go.

This place is incredible and I recommend anyone to stay at Azur. I can’t wait to come back and see Mia and the team in the future. Well done to all of you, it’s so hard to find GENUINE, loving customer service. Everyone needs to take a lesson out of their book.

Love Jenna and Nick from Melbourne.

My husband and I were in NZ for 2 weeks and Azur was the highlight of our trip. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly and really do try to tailor everything to your needs and preferences. The villas are beautiful and the tiniest details have been considered - heated floors, plenty of towels, fluffy robes, a hair straightener/flat iron, toothbrushes, makeup remover, a mini sewing kit, a yoga mat… just to name a few. The villas are spacious and comfortable and we honestly had to make ourselves leave. I slept so well every night and had the worlds best view to wake up to.

The food is delicious and made to order. Even without a formal restaurant on the property, the lodge provides so much food between breakfast, canapés and afternoon tea that you barely even need dinner! But when you are ready for dinner, there is always someone available at the lodge to drive you into town (5-10 mins at maximum) or you can order takeaway and have it brought to your villa.

The views from the property and the villas are just amazing. We had a few rainy days and even those views are just as beautiful. There are so many places in NZ that make you feel like you’re living in a picture and the views of the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu are no different.

If you value experiences and want a few days to press pause and soak in the beauty in Queenstown, this is the place to do it!

Absolutely spectacular property. Rooms are each essentially independent cottages with huge amount of space, private balcony, fire place etc. The lodge sits on a hill that looks right on to the lake so the views are amazing. The staff are incredible and so helpful. They planned dining, day trips, and really anything else you need during your stay. Can’t say enough good things about this property, worth every penny.

My wife and I stayed here just before new years and it gets 5 stars on all accounts. The staff is amazing and in abundance. They are so friendly and all go above and beyond to help out. The lodge itself offers many perks that I did not even know about until visiting. The on site chefs are absolutely amazing and in addition to providing an amazing breakfast, also prepare afternoon canapes (finger foods that are to die for!). The staff also provides free local drop off and pick up which we used throughout our stay despite having a rental car (it is very difficult to find legal parking in Queenstown and the service is a godsend). Last but not least, the room and its view were incredible. This is the only time I have ever been to an expensive luxury resort and felt like I must be underplaying for the experience. We will come back (and hopefully soon)

Hi Matt, Thrilled to read that you soaked in the view and had the best stay at Azur Lodge! That is what we strive for everyday. The transfers to and from the lively downtown area certainly make for a nice and relaxed experience in Queenstown, avoiding the struggle of carparking. We can't wait to welcome you back! (And return guests always get local bubbles and homemade chocs!) Best Wishes, Danielle and the Azur Team

The location is wonderful with elevated views of the lake in peaceful serenity . Their free shuttle is flexible to your needs and makes the town easily accessible in 10-15 minutes . Villas are spacious and beautifully appointed with comfortable super king beds , large lounge area and modern luxurious bathroom with spa bath .
Whilst there is no dinner , the breakfasts are fresh , varied and very well cooked and afternoon tea with home made patisserie and the aperitif snacks included a home cooked pulled pork bay bun - so plenty of food and complimentary mini bar
This is a luxe experience with friendly , highly engaged and well trained staff from all over the world who clearly enjoy their work
Perfect in a stunning location !

Is it suitable for family with few kids?
Answer from Azur Queenstown

Hi, Azur Lodge allows children of all ages. However, we have a maximum occupancy of 3 guests per villa. If a child is 14 or older the children can have their own villa next door, although our 9 identical villas are stand alone and not interconnecting. A couple of times we have had a parent and child in each villa which we appreciate is not ideal for a family. I hope this helps. Warm regards, Danielle.

Hi, We are 13.5KM from Hilton, 30 mins driving. 11KM from the airport, around 25 minutes. We offer complimentary private shuttle to and from the airport and to and from downtown Queenstown. It will be same price for you booking direct through us or with a Travel Agent. Thank you for your questions.
