Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location is A. Room is B. Experience is C. Biggest problems were in poorly trained staff. This is the company’s fault, not the staff’s. There is no one on site after 6 pm. Minimal self-serve breakfast started at 8 am; too late for us to make our tour guide. . When we asked if croissants were available, we were told “No, we don’t control the menu: that’s done from a central location.” Everything seemed more abrupt than helpful.

Great location in a quiet road 5 minutes walk from the busy centre. Facilities were first rate and the room were nicely decorated. Bed was very large and comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. Complimentary happy hour drinks (beer and wine) and food was unexpected but well received.

This quirky little boutique hotel ticked all the boxes - great size rooms and lots of special touches. Loved the bar/breakfast area and the social outdoor space. Easy walk into town and friendly and helpful reception staff.

We stayed here for 3 nights in room 11. It was a great room. Loved the decor and the whole feel of the hotel. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Continental Breakfast included which was ample for our needs. Lolly jars and tea and coffee available all day. Minibar was free as well. Washing and drying facilities provided free of charge as well as the washing powder. Walking distance to the park and central shopping district. Good vale for the price we paid Would definitely stay here again

We absolutely loved our stay at the Central Private Hotel in Queenstown. Alex and the team were super welcoming and friendly and made our stay super enjoyable. The space is stunning and has everything you could need. It's only a short wander into the centre of Queenstown too, yet feels very quiet and peaceful in the immediate surroundings.

It was so nice to stay in a hotel with a bit of flair and not the usual vanilla bland styling. The rooms were large and had a sense of fun in their styling. Plenty of light. We stayed in rooms 1 & 2 downstairs and both had large glass doors to a private outside garden. Free soft drinks and snacks in the minibar was a big surprise and not the usual boring selection of soft drinks. Also there is a guest happy hour with wine and nibbles each afternoon. This hotel really does deserve its high rating score.
