Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Chalet Queenstwon in February this year & found it to be very peaceful as it is set a short pleasant 10min walk down the hill from the city centre. Our room was very comfortable & had all that we required; the bathroom was stocked with nice products and everything was extremely clean. I particularly enjoyed the balcony, which was not partitioned from the other two rooms, but nevertheless, peaceful & with views toward the lake. Our host was very helpful & exceptionally polite, she even did a wash for me and carried it upstairs (which she should not have done as she was pregnant, so thank you) . Breakfasts were also very good & served in pleasant surroundings with a nice buffet bar for cereals etc with cooked options also available. I would certainly stay here again if Im ever in NZ again. I cant comment on the cost range as our stay was part of a personalised package through Audley Travel.

Isha is a friendly, helpful, and accommodating host and the Chalet is perfect for a couple of night stay in QTown. Even with rainy weather we walked to the town center and park and enjoyed the quiet location of the Chalet. Breakfast was perfect-- many choices and beautifully presented. We prefer small inns to large corporate settings and this was perfect!

My partner and I wanted to spend two evenings at a nice lodging near Queenstown City Centre without being in the very city centre and found Chalet to be a good place to start our journey.
It’s a mere 7 minute walk to get to the city centre and is easily accessible for bus stops too.
We had a few requests during our stay and the staff was most welcoming and helpful providing good service during our stay while continuously being happy and smiling.
Breakfast had a variety of simple things including cereal, nuts, fruit, toast, juice and more while also providing a menu for warm meals.
We had a lovely stay and would love to use this accommodation again

Stayed for 2 nights, big breakfast not good tiny piece of bacon. Room not cleaned, beds not made, bathroom not cleaned NO clean dry towels did not replenish any of the toiletries. Had to go and ask for dry towels host didn't attempt to come and make beds after we had been out all day.
Would not reccomend to anyone.

Very nice friendly people who would do whatever you ask. Rooms were very clean and well appointed but we were in on a very hot day and felt aircon would have been great, but did not take away from the people and room. They also bought the breakfast forward a half hour for us without any hassle as we were getting picked up for a LOTR tour at 8am. Highly recommended!!

Chalet Queenstown is a delightful spot for a few nights - the Hostess is the most welcoming and knowledgeable hotelier....and Chef - breakfast is top-notch.
Easy walk (especially downhill) to town and restaurants. Great views from rooms. Spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed our stay.

Chalet Queenstown didn’t live up to its billing
Not 5min walk from central Queenstown - 10 min for an Olympic athlete and 15-20 for lesser mortals.
Not a ‘boutique’ hotel in the generally accepted meaning of that term.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The view from room 5 would be greatly improved by some trimming of trees.
Was left feeling we had overpaid for nice room in a b&b.

Room very small, but clean and comfortable. Bathroom even smaller, shower ok. Insufficient tea bags poor quality and cheap coffee. A bit of a trek down to the town down hill and back up again. Parking tight but adequate. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. Tea and coffee bags are refilled everyday during housekeeping. We provide Dilmah tea and coffee brand range which is quite premium and on higher side. We are privileged to be little bit (5 min walk) away from town which makes us unique in providing the best view of the lake from the rooms. And zero traffic noise. Plenty of parking space available can easily fit camper vans as well. Sorry for not meeting up to your expectations, Do give us a chance next time and enjoy our hot and continental breakfast. Regards Reception.

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely hosts, good location. Breakfast was good with a lovely choice. Accomodation was nice & a fridge was in room, which proved really handy, however, as traveling for 5 weeks & having a few cases, etc, found the room a bit small & unfortunately, the internet connection was poor. All said & done it was a lovely place to stay & we enjoyed our time there.

Stayed 28-30/11 during 1 month trip around New Zealand. This is such a lovely typical ski chalet and brought back memories of skiing in Europe. Rooms small and comfortable, view of the mountains.
Shashank and Isha were really pleasant hosts who respected your privacy but were really helpful if needed. Breakfast very tasty.
Situated close to centre but required a very steep descent and ascent which was no issue as we are fit and love walking. Queenstown a typical lively ski resort or mountain bike/trek resort out of season. Fun to explore. Drive from Franz Glacier to Queenstown was spectacular.

There are times during the day when traffic noise may occur, ususally before work and after work, but other than that it is quite quiet.
