Stayed 5 nights with sister and brother-in-law in a 2 bedroom apartment....Apt 3
Check in was quick, friendly and informative. Thanks Jude.
On entering we were blown away by the fantastic views of Lake Wakatipu. Not only from the living areas upstairs but also from the bedrooms downstairs. It really felt like we were on holidays.
The spaciousness of the apartment was also a huge plus. Much bigger than most apartments we have stayed in. Plenty of room for two couples. This extended to the bedrooms, each with their comfy king sized beds and own bathroom. Our bedroom/bathroom even having a spa bath. Our apartment also had a third toilet upstairs which was handy. I guess the only tight area was the balcony. It fitted 4 chairs and a table just. Good enough for us though.
The kitchen was so well set up. It had a oven, microwave, hot plate and full fridge/freezer. Teabags, coffee, hot chocolate, cling wrap, Alfoil etc were also supplied. Outside was a gas bbq which we used quite a bit, as well as an outdoors eating area. Fabulous!
The apartments were situated a little out of town, which suited us better, as our stay was quiet without the hustle and bustle of busy Queenstown. It only took us 15-20 minutes stroll into town via the lake. Beautiful walk in itself. We picked up a car halfway into our stay and it was handy to access the less expensive Countdown supermarket about 6 klms away.
Overall we had a super stay and I highly recommend this spacious and comfortable accommodation.

We stayed 5 nights in #12 which was a 3 bedroom apartmeny on the end so it was pretty quiet. If you only need 1BR, the others are locked off. We were traveling with another couple and we took advantage of the kitchen utensils and cooked 2 of the nights (its boring to eat out so much). We enjoyed just sitting around talking, eating and drinking in s home atmosphere. #12 had the bedroom downstairs with a view of the lake. There is a small balcony and access to a garden wood deck but we did not avail either. This apartment has 2 sets of stairs that would make wheel chair accessibility impossible. Don’t know about the other units. Very enjoyable stay. Manager was very nice and accommodating.

Wow 🤩 this place is amazing. The view is to die for. Overlooking the lake and Mountains. Close to Town. Free buses stop right outside to take you into Town and Arrowtown. Spa bath was yum. Kitchen was fully stocked but ate out every night for 5 nights so didn’t cook in it but could quite easily. Plenty of tea she’s and coffee. This is the best place I’ve stayed in in New Zealand and rate it far better than any hotel. So clean, modern and spacious. Best of all so quiet. No noise from the road. Heated towel rail, bathroom heater. Logburner which we lit. Just superb.

These apartments are simply amazing and the view........ SENSATIONAL!!!! Jude (our host) looked after us and ensured we were comfortable. Having a kitchenette and BBQ made our stay so much better as we enjoyed local produce each day. Having a fire (with unlimited wood) also made for a comfortable stay.
The bus stops out the front of the drive (only $2 per person) which makes going into town or the shops easy. If you feel like walking into the CBD, try doing so by walking around the lake. Simply stunning!!!!
We will definitely stay again.

We stayed in Apartment 5 for one week. The views were spectacular from the spacious living area upstairs and even gorgeous from the bedroom downstairs.

We loved that we could sit out on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air as well as the stunning views.

I get sick of eating out, so loved being able to cook/prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen.

We also took great delight in walking to and from the town centre, along the path at lake’s edge, which only took about 20 mins.

Jud in reception was helpful and friendly.

Would return here in a heartbeat!

We stayed a couple of nights at Spinnaker, and it was incredible. The apartment was just fantastic, on numerous occassions we discussed just how cosy it was and how it had everything we could ever want and it would be the ideal place to bunker down in for weeks on end!! We were gutted to leave. Great views across the lake. Jude was lovely, very welcoming and helpful. We didn't realise there was a pool on site, so this was a nice surprise. Its only a short walk along the waters-edge into Queenstown. We were here for Waitangi Day so it was nice to see all the festivities to celebrate the occassion. It was a little tight maneuevering the car into the garage (we had hired an SUV so slightly larger than the normal car), but it was nice to have somewhere secure to leave the car right outside our apartment. Without a doubt we would return to Spinnaker and probably not even look at other places to stay in Queenstown, we loved it so much :-)

What a beautiful set apartments right on the lake with stunning views!!
Our apartment was amazing. Set over 2 levels (bedroom and bathroom downstairs and lounge and kitchen up) brand new carpet, super comfortable lounge suite, sky TV with all the channels, full kitchen, king bed and basically everything you could think of to make this feel like a home away from home.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough, the indoor heated pool and sauna was definitely a bonus too!! Didn’t want to leave, stunning property…

Stayed 3 nights and I don’t think I’d be able to want to stay anywhere else in Queenstown now! Beautifully laid out apartments. Full kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher and all the utensils including different wine glasses to cater for the wine types. The lake view from the apartment is so beautiful. Private garage parking for each unit, and the traffic noise doesn’t exist except for the water taxis on the lake a few times a day.
The spa bath is relaxing. The washing machine and dryer an added bonus. I highly recommend these apartments.

This was such an amazing place to stay. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge, beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and the views were incredible. The kitchen had everything you need, including glad wrap etc. The lounge and dining room was huge and had the most amazing views. There was a fire if you wanted to use it but a good heater if you chose not to. Downstairs had 2 bathrooms , one with a spa bath. There was also a washing machine and dryer which was great. The on site heated indoor pool was lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was a home away from home.
Will be recommending Spinnaker Bay to everyone.

Hi Suzzane, I am not sure what the activities are like now as I am 19 years old, but i came here 8 years ago when i was 11. Unless they have changed anything, they had chess, board games, children's DVDs; all fully equipped in each apartment. Alternatively, you can locate some in reception (i think). Also your question on the units being safe for 2 year olds. I assume so. They have cots and cradles available in the apartments. I highly recommend this apartment. You won't regret it! Regards,
