#27 of 138 Speciality lodging in Queenstown
Trelawn Place is a country home 5 minutes (4km) drive from central Queenstown. We offer a unique rural riverside location for weddings. Often we are told this venue is the best for outside weddings in the country. Nery and Michael are well traveled hosts.

Attended our friends wedding at this place. If talking about the view and how this place is physically presented, it was beautiful. But when it comes to the owners showing hospitality to their guests, its not worth coming back for. It was a wedding, it is expected that family and friends are present, so as their kids. The male owner seems he doesn’t like kids. He keeps on moaning about them and keeps on telling them off in a rude and unfriendly manner. The female owner did a nice gesture though by offering us to have our lunch inside their lovely home after the wedding ceremony for it was raining. But we didn’t even finish the entire wedding celebration for the male owner once again showed us how rude and inappropriate his actions were, when he just barged in the couples cottage and started bringing all their stuff outside for he said they were overstaying. He should have said it nicely rather than barging in there. We were forced to end the celebration and wishing to leave that place immediately for the married couple felt really bad about the owner’s treatment towards them and to us their guests. As customers, our stay there was memorable for we will never forget the experience we had with the hosts/owners (especially the male owner) of the venue.

The most beautiful view in Queenstown in my opinion and I have visited Queenstown many times in my life! It was absolute perfection - a surprise birthday getaway with the husband for my 29th. We stayed in the Cherry Tree House cottage and it was divine. Stunning view from almost everywhere in the house. Felt private and (mostly) quiet aside from the Shotover Jet during the day, which was not disruptive though. Lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities, we enjoyed the spa bath but the outdoor hot tub was even better! Such a warm little cottage and our hosts were lovely - as were the Corgis! It was the most amazing experience and we hope to stay again <3

We stayed in Cherry Tree House which is self contained and separate from the main building, only a few yards though so hosts and corgis always on hand. The cottage is lovely, it is in a spectacular position overlooking the river with a very large deck. The garden like all the grounds at Trelawn Place are a delight. The cottage is very comfortable, warm and clean, there is a large sitting area, a reasonable kitchen space and a fair amount of equipment, some a bit dated but quite adequate. There is a lovely spa bath, separate shower, toilet, washing machine and drier, to the side a dressing room with lots of storage. Upstairs is a large comfortable bed in a light airy bedroom, we slept well. Our original booking was for a week but we extended by two days we loved it so much; two weeks later we went back for another night, we wanted another two night booking as well, it’s so good but was not available. Lastly, Nery and Michael and the corgis. Michael was always busy maintaining the grounds, Nery was more than helpful to us and the corgis were a delight. They are a lovely couple, good at what they do and one day we hope to return.

Micheal and the corgi's greeted us. Micheal escorted us to the cottage while informing us about all the things to do in the Queenstown area. He and Neri were very accommo dating during our stay in January 2020. It is great place to stay.

We had an awesome experience and now fond memories of Trelawn, staying there three nights this past November of 2019. We stayed in the cottage and two of our couple friends stayed on the property also in lovely accommodations. It felt soon like home except it was in exceptional surroundings high in the mountains with a beautiful river below us. Neri and Michael have landscaped the country place beautifully and flowers and blooming trees added even more to their lovely setting. Neri and Michael, also, were extremely accommodating when we were not able to arrive back to Trelawn on our scheduled 3rd night due to being stranded an extra night at Milford Sound. They let us return a day later and very graciously provided us again with lodging. Our cottage was very clean, very comfortable and the outside cottage furniture was greatly enjoyed with our travel friends. Another plus of Trelawn is that it is a short drive to Queenstown and also to the quaint little village of Arrowtown. Karen and Eldon Sheffer U.S.A.

Thank you Karen, we have been very lucky meeting the people we have over the years, bed and breakfast is a great way of meeting the locals, it’s also a good way of getting inside info on how to see the area. For us we have got lots of tips on where to travel to. Tell your friends to book directly, it’s cheaper. Thank you for the review, happy travels. Michael and Nery
