Our family had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Trelawn over Xmas. It is not your usual hotel and motel accommodation, and more of an exclusive lodge setting. The Stone Cottage and apartment are very cute, tidy, well appointed and comfortable. The location above Skippers Canyon, immaculate grounds, gardens and sunny aspect are very relaxing. We were able to both eat at home and enjoy the property, and also venture into Queenstown, Arthurs Point and Arrowntown at our convenience. It is only 5 minutes into Queenstown. We will return to Trelawn.
The pictures don’t do it justice. Absolutely beautiful location. Cherry Cottage was warm (even though it snowed while we were there), very comfortable, spotlessly clean, with stunning views. Michael and Nery were wonderful hosts - an upgrade to their best cottage, a cuppa on their deck when we arrived, servicing the cottage a couple of times during our week and so friendly. The spa was the icing on the cake with amazing views. Felt very spoilt during our week. Would love to stay again and have already recommended to friends and family.
Stunning setting and views of the Shotover. Stylish and comfortable rooms, immaculate and super clean, gorgeous fresh flowers in vases to greet us and delightful spring gardens . . Super hosts, thank you.
Attended our friends wedding at this place. If talking about the view and how this place is physically presented, it was beautiful. But when it comes to the owners showing hospitality to their guests, its not worth coming back for. It was a wedding, it is expected that family and friends are present, so as their kids. The male owner seems he doesn’t like kids. He keeps on moaning about them and keeps on telling them off in a rude and unfriendly manner. The female owner did a nice gesture though by offering us to have our lunch inside their lovely home after the wedding ceremony for it was raining. But we didn’t even finish the entire wedding celebration for the male owner once again showed us how rude and inappropriate his actions were, when he just barged in the couples cottage and started bringing all their stuff outside for he said they were overstaying. He should have said it nicely rather than barging in there. We were forced to end the celebration and wishing to leave that place immediately for the married couple felt really bad about the owner’s treatment towards them and to us their guests. As customers, our stay there was memorable for we will never forget the experience we had with the hosts/owners (especially the male owner) of the venue. …
The most beautiful view in Queenstown in my opinion and I have visited Queenstown many times in my life! It was absolute perfection - a surprise birthday getaway with the husband for my 29th. We stayed in the Cherry Tree House cottage and it was divine. Stunning view from almost everywhere in the house. Felt private and (mostly) quiet aside from the Shotover Jet during the day, which was not disruptive though. Lovely bathroom and kitchen facilities, we enjoyed the spa bath but the outdoor hot tub was even better! Such a warm little cottage and our hosts were lovely - as were the Corgis! It was the most amazing experience and we hope to stay again <3
