I wish I had read some reviews before booking here as this place is way below standard and cannot rate itself as 5 star in any way. Bathroom old and in dire need of updating , fan very loud and can’t be turned off while light is on. No milk provided in room fridge, yet coffee and tea provided. Room very small. Used towels were not taken away for the duration of our stay. One staff member only. Hard to contact the hotel directly. Breakfast pleasant but basic, plunger coffee served was awful. It had some nice touches like complimentary sweets in lounge and a happy hour with complimentary drinks. And the location is great. However this hotel is not luxury, no where near 5 star, more like a nice motel really. Some of the small things would be so easy to fix. I think management need to go and stay in a true 5 star hotel to understand how much this place needs to up its game to meet that standard. With so many options in Queenstown I can’t recommend here and I won’t be returning. Thanks…
Most wonderful stay at the Dairy Private Hotel in Queenstown. A short walk down the stairs to all of our favourites such as Fergburger and Patagonia and all of the local tour/hire places. The hotel itself couldnt have been more perfect, from the beautiful welcome, endless drinks and nibbles, the romantic spa over looking the Remarkles to the very clean and comfortable spaces within. We are already planning our trip back and will 100% be back the the Dairy Private hotel! Thank you to the wonderful staff for all of the personal little touches, all of which went noticed and appreciated x
Warm, friendly and personalised service. Everything was made super easy and relaxed. Pippa and Cam made the stay very enjoyable. Beautifully appointed rooms - and lounge. Comfortable bed, quiet room. On the doorstep of town, but right away from the noise. I’ll be back - felt like a home away from home with a special touch. Thanks Pippa!
Spotted this wee gem on my last trip to Queenstown and hoped to stay sometime so was thrilled to discover this was hotel of choice for friends special occasion celebrations. The Dairy did not disappoint. The extra personal touches of lolly jars, open pantry, cosy library, nightly happy hour in the lounge, and staff who embrace an attitude of nothing being too much trouble, (thank you Pippa) all make you feel like you're staying in the home of good friends rather than a hotel. That said, The Dairy has everything and more you'd expect from a hotel, with beautifully appointed rooms and in a perfect location - easy walk to town, gondola and waterfront. Would highly recommend and we will be back...
What a gem? I knew from the minute we walked in that I had found my happy place in Queenstown. Due to a little mix up we were not expected but it was handled professionally and nothing was a problem. We went for a wander around Queenstown and came back for our tour of the place. The decor is fab and I loved our ceiling. The whole place has a feeling like you are a welcome guest as opposed to a paying guest. The 5.00pm drinks, lolly bar and drink station add that friend staying touch. I don't want to go on and on and tell you everything but if you look at the website and it is your kind of place, go and stay. I am a seasoned traveller and I think The Dairy is up there in my very top of the top hotels.
