Location is a little far to walk to town and up a steep hill. Part of the appeal for the hotel was parking as other places closer to town didn't necessarily have this, however often had to park on street away from hotel. Room very outdated, bathroom in particular needs upgraded. Queenstown gets very cold at night and beds only had a sheet and thin duvet, no spare blankets / electric blanket provided. Lift sounds ill! Biggest complaint however was coming back in the evening to find room hadn't been serviced, dirty towels on floor, no toilet paper. Reception explained that room had accidently been missed, which didn't bother us as much as the "ho-hum" attitude we received to this. Room was not offered to be cleaned, and had to encourage staff to even remove dirty towels. On the plus side some staff were really friendly - greeted by housekeeping in hallways and breakfast staff really good. Beds were very comfortable, though again needed extra blankets. Despite some reviews here actually found breakfast selection really good, and view from Rises restaurant stunning. Unfortunately however due to our experience won't be staying again, did not feel like a 4 star hotel.

Our room looked out to the lake which was fantastic and we could park our car for free. The food in the bar and restaurant was great. The staff were amazing, I broke my leg while on a activity and the reception lady when she saw my husband trying to assist limping me into the lobby she came rushing out with bottles of water and asked us to sit on the sofa and got us a wheelchair to use. She also organised a shower stool for the bathroom. The bar lady who was just walking by also jumped into action and assisted me getting into the wheelchair. A very big thank you to all the staff. I highly recommend this hotel

Waited for almost an hour and half for our food and drinks, especially the drinks. The draft beer wasn’t served even after 2 reminders). Tables that arrived after us were being served with their drinks already while we are still waiting for ours. However the lady in charge of the restaurant was good and courteous.

Get a room with a view of the lake, then watch the sunrise from the direction of Kingston... Large room, comfy bed, good bathroom...could do with a bigger table if having breakfast in room...We had an in room breakfast which i would recommend... Excellent staff, very handy to downtown and definitely quiet...

Very lovely place, we got an upgrade to room with a beautiful and stunning landscape view which was a good treat. The front desk, kitchen and cleaning staff were professional, amazing, friendly and very helpful. I must say that the food was good too. Would have loved it more if the pool was heated. An amazing place! Highly recommended!❤️
