I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I was hesitant at first because it seems to be old and run down. But upon arrival, it may seem a bit dated but its certainly not run down! I find that it has been well maintained. It’s a massive hotel so a bit of a walk to get to the rooms which has 2 double beds - a really good size. No AC so could get a little warm sometimes. It was my sister’s birthday so I asked the staff if they could put a little surprise in the room before we arrived. They prepared a box of chocolate and a note! It was a nice touch! Kudos to the team! Location isn’t that far from town. Breakfast was the same everyday but still good!

Stayed in the Superior Lakeview room. Beautiful view of the mountains to wake up to. Bed was really comfy & the spa pools were just around the corner from our room. Had the Grab One deal which included the breakfast, which was your standard bacon, eggs, pastries etc. Nice and clean hotel & easy walking distance to town. We had to stay at 3 different hotels during our stay as they were all booked out for winter. This was the 1st hotel we stayed in & the best, wish we could of stayed the whole time here.

This is a great hotel for families. We stayed 3 nights and had a 4 and a 6 year old with us. The staff were friendly and welcoming to us all and we got into our spacious room, with a stunning view a little before checkin time. The bed was comfortable and the room warm. The hotel is a short but steep walk downhill ton the town centre. I am not young and needed to get cabs back up the hill. The rest of the family were fine. The only real complaint that I have is that you could not get a real coffee in the hotel either in the bar or by room service till 5 pm. It was a great place for kids because there was a family rather than a fancy vibe.

We stayed in a Junior Suite for our stay. What fantastic views! The suite was spacious and had plenty of room for luggage. The bed was very comfortable and we were impressed that the hotel had the FULL selection of Sky channels. Most hotels advertise Sky but often don't have most of the channels. We had two seperate toilets and we really enjoyed the spa bath. The outside (covered) balcony with a table and chairs was a lovely spot to enjoy a beer. This room would be comfortable for a longer stay. The staff were really attentive and friendly (room service, reception and in the restaurant). The suite could do with some lamps on the side tables, maybe one in the living area. Other than this, we were very comfortable. They provided our 5 month old son a cot and comfortable bedding, and I was happy that we had of towels which is always a plus! We would definitely stay again!

Stayed 2 nights including bed and breakfast (before and after Milford Track). Really comfortable spacious room, friendly staff, and no problem to organise free storage of our luggage whilst we went on our hike. Easy walk to and from town with only one hill and also easy access to lake shore area
