We stayed in one of the lake view with balcony rooms.
Centrally located ,with great views of the lake and downtown....5 minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and wharf/beach.
Everything at the Lomond lodge seemed new and recently renovated, nice ensuite etc
The kingsize bed was amazing
I'd recommend the extra $15/day for on site parking

I stayed at Lomond Lodge for 55 nights during levels 4 and 3 of lockdown in New-Zeeland. It truly turned out to be an amazing home away from home! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms in the lodge are modern and clean and have all the facilities you need for a great stay including a good bed, a great shower and perfect WiFi! My room had a fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful view on The Remarkables. The location of the Lodge is also perfect for visiting town or as a starting point of many beautiful hikes. The sunny patio at the back is also a great plus! In short, I would recommend the Lomond Lodge to anyone visiting Queenstown for a short or longer stay!

This lodge is in the perfect location in central Queenstown, with comfortable, clean, well-designed rooms that (on the lake side) have stunning views. Amenities like small fridges and coffee makers, shared kitchen, and laundry machines make this an easy place to spend time between hikes etc. The staff is also very friendly and responsive. It’s an excellent value for the money, and I would stay here again.

Our room and everything was lovely. However the lady at the reception was not very accommodating and pretty much accused me of lying. So, We had pre booked parking the day before and already paid for it but when we arrived that night there was no available parks out front. Luckily we found one on the street not to far away. There was an emergency number available to call but I didn’t really class it as emergency and didn’t want to risk being charged the $150 fee for out of hour callouts. When we were checking out the lady at reception asked if everything was alright with our stay I said yes it was lovely, however there was no park available when we arrived (wasn’t asking for a refund or being rude just mentioned it to let her know). She then asked me what time we arrived I said about 9pm and she then tells me that she happened to be there then too on a callout and there was two free car parks our front 😂. I explained that there definitely wasn’t any when we arrived and wasn’t any after for about 20-30 minutes either and I noticed that some of the cars didn’t have a ticket in their window. She then changed her story about there being free parks and was trying to tell me that my car was parked out front and she saw it that night . I told her that my car was parked round the corner on the street and I think I would know if my car was parked out front last night. She then told me that she doesn’t believe me and she will have to check with her boss and she said I probably will not get a refund because it’s my fault for not ringing the emergency line.
It was so honestly so rude, but so ridiculous it was actually funny because she was just lying through her teeth and trying to blame me and I’m not really sure why. My guess is that she was on at the hotel at 9pm that night and she stole took our park out front and was trying to cover her own tracks. 🤦🏼♀️

What a nice bunch of people run this hotel! It is in a great location central to town but away from the noise of the bars. The rooms were clean and modern and also well priced. We stayed on a business trip to Queenstown in the 2 bedroom unit. The staff made sure we had 4 single beds we requested and they unpacked our fridge items for us as we had arrived before check-in time so they moved our luggage once the room was ready.

We arrived to find ourselves upgraded to a Lakeview room, wonderful! The bed was amazing and the unit impeccably clean and well appointed. There is a kitchen right next door in a shared hallway but you do have breakfast making facilities in your room, alongside a microwave.
The only downside was a group below us playing very loud music and slamming doors, they were spoken to by management the following day.
All in all a great place in a great location if you're on foot. The only other thing is limited parking but I was lucky enough to be in front of the complex, not so sure I'd be as happy paying the same amount to be over the road way down in the Man St carpark.

I booked three days on 17-21 December 2022 but because I could not get into New Zealand I tried to get money back with days ago explaining the reason. There was no way to get anything back. Very greedy owner, please avoid or take additional measure. In 20 years while travelling around the world this was the first time when I get nothing back. They wrote me that because of low season but 17-21 December is not low season in New Zealand and this excuse I saw it also on TripAdviser another customer get nothing back. They spent nothing on electricity, heating/AC, water, cleaning for three days and the owner took all the money. Others properties from New Zealand proposed me from the beginning half money or free rebooking on other days but this greedy property nothing. I have never been in such a situation before. You have no chance to get something back in case you book a room and for some personal reason you cannot come. They will never propose you free rebooking in other days or getting a percentage back. Very greedy property stay away.

Dear Guest, You canceled your room within the cancellation period . We are open and honest with our cancellation policy and have communicated with you through out the process. We are sorry that we were not in a position to refund you for your stay with us. Before Christmas is a tricky time of year to on sell. We are not a greedy large company, rather we are a small standalone property and each reservation is important to us, we tried to on-sell the room to be able to be in a position to refund you the money but were unable to do so in this instance. We look forward to welcoming other guests that understand your review is written with intent to hurt our business, which says a lot more about your character than it does about us. You accepted the cancellation terms when you booked your reservation, Kind Regards, Lomond Lodge.

We stayed at Lomond Lodge the night before and the night after doing the five night Grand Traverse hike. Our rooms on both nights were really comfortable and the staff super friendly. The lodge is an easy walk to the centre of town and has all the cooking and laundry facilities you might need.
What really impressed us though was being able to leave our extra luggage with them while we were in the mountains. There was no charge for this service and because we left early in the morning the staff told us to just leave the bags in our room and they moved them to the secure storage. When we returned six days later our bags were in our new room along with the two beers and half bottle of milk we'd left in the fridge.
That level of service is not common and we hope that Lomond Lodge will thrive as a result of the work they put in to ensure their guests comfort.

The location of this property is exceptional - 2 minutes walk into town, yet away from it all when it gets a bit loud down by the waterfront. I spent a lot of time looking at the stunning view of the lake from my room. With a luxurious shower, the most comfortable bed ever, and an exceptional host, I couldn't wish for more! I look forward to returning next time I am in Queenstown.

This motel/hotel is in a good location for easy access to walk in to Queenstown, (Queenstown have to say is an awesome town ) albeit down some steps to street level, car parking availability on request but you do need to book this.
Comfortable bed, modern bathroom, all nice and clean. With a practical little kitchen area for making a cuppa and having a slice of toast, fridge included.
Receptionist/manager was exceptionally helpful sorry I can’t remember her name, but a great asset to the hotel.
Happy to recommend for a stay, whilst in QT for a no frills accommodation. We had a lovely stay.

The Lodge is on the side of a hill so yes. There are steps just down the hill a bit to take a short cut to town. Slow and steady and you'll be fine. If you have bad knees then you'll have to car it.
Sorry for delay, been away again! The 2 bed was 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and lounge/kitchen area. Yes suitable for friends but the second bedroom had no windows and was quite small which meant that whoever as in that room had to leave their cases in the lounge area, which was also not enormous.
Hi fionattt,
Thank you for your enquiry, how big is the camper van you will be travelling with? we have 5 complimentary car park spaces right in front of the lodge which have no height restriction that you are welcome to use. If all of these spaces are occupied we provide you with a car park pass for the Man Street car park (directly opposite the lodge) and they have a height restriction of 2.29m.
I hope this answers your question!
I would just give Lamond Lodge a call if you want to check. We stayed there in July and went to the lodge to check in and were then taken to the car park to drop off our cars and the guy helped us with our luggage to the apartment.
You need to register and pick up key at the Lomond Hotel which is near the Lomond Lodge .
Therefore , best to call the hotel prior to make arrangement .
Have a wonderful time :)
