Very clean, not one spec of dust in our room, exceptional customer service, great location! Me and My friend Arrived having booked for the wrong date by complete accident. The lodge manager Vineet was almost too helpful! He arranged us a room even tho they were fully booked it was way out of our price range (family room) however Vineet understood and offered us a discount to accommodate for our budget and for what was my error in the first place for booking for the wrong day! We were overwhelmed by his hospitality and kind and caring way of work. Service with a smile. THANK YOU VINEET!!!
Was booked for two nights and stayed for six! Weather held and due to proximity, an easy stroll to lake, shops and restaurants, not to mention no parking issues we stayed on. Close to Skyline. Managers are courteous and helpful. Recommended, as represents great value for money!!
I paid for a bed and breakfast and only got the bed. This was the third time I had been to the lodge, and finding out there was no breakfast (even though I paid for a breakfast) made me a lot more critical of the facilities. The communal bathrooms need to be much cleaner, and ideally need an upgrade. The single bed rooms were okay, beds reasonably comfy, but bring ear plugs as walls there seem paper thin, and every cough and every phone conversation from the next rooms is very audible. The communal dinning room was poor at best, very few plates, cutlery and cups available, little or no dishwashing liquid; on the last day of my visit I had to eat my cereal out of a cup. A guest used hand washing liquid to clean a cup, and by the last day of my visit the dish washing liquid was used up and guests were just rinsing dishes under water and placing them on the drying rack. Under the current circumstances I can't see how this total lack of food hygiene is acceptable. You wouldn't accept that paying twenty bucks a night at a backpackers. This used to be my go-to place when staying at Queenstown. Not any more. …
We stayed last year and loved it Stayed again this December and sadly dissatisfied The tree (outside our bedroom window) that provided us with plenty of privacy into our bedroom has now been cut down meaning our bedroom looks straight into the apartment complex’s neighbors lounge This meant we had to have our bedroom curtains shut 24/7 Therefore our room was always dark and cold Wish Melbourne Lodge hadn’t cut the tree down as there is now zero privacy Also we had a very noisy Melbourne lodge neighbor Would not recommend if you want privacy or peace And quiet
Great location and good value for money. My sister & I booked a King/Twin Studio with ensuite and it was enough room for us to relax and hangout. The Manager onsite was friendly and had great customer service. I could see he was always on the go but he would go out of his way to help us all with a smile on his face. He also called around to find a cheaper cab company which I appreciated.
