Great location - at the moment (there is significant building works which may well ruin the unique views of the Mountains).
Good set of food available - The pasta in the giants bar was really good - almost Naples standards! They have lots of good (real) beer - not just the lager crap and in the immediate area there is a Thai takeaway, a Thai restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant, Pizza, and a lovely French patisserie, as well as a couple of coffee shops a supermarket and a small shopping areas.
Delphine was wonderful!

I stayed here for 7 nights just now, mainly to requalify for IHG Spire under the current post-COVID rules. A room rate of $90 per night is unheard of in Queenstown, and I was able to pay a little more for 5,000 bonus points on top of that, so I could hardly resist!
When I checked in, I was informed I had been upgraded to a mountain view room, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the first room I was allocated faced the sun, and the temperature inside was 27°C, which the A/C just couldn't deal with; it was still 27°C+ an hour or two later. I had to ask to move rooms to the other side of the building. After that, I was happy, but this issue is not going to go away. Hotels in warm places need to install enough HVAC capacity such that rooms are not turned into saunas.
The TVs have Chromecast, so you can view your own favourite content. This would be nice, if it worked. It doesn't. This service is provided by getstreaming.tv, who have a help number you can call if you're having problems. However, the number is unavailable from NZ.
The room service menu should be available on the room TV, but it isn't. Either sort this out, or place a printed menu in the rooms.
So, now the positives. Super friendly staff; great customer service. Very pleasant rooms; super comfy beds. This property sets the brand standard for Holiday Inn in NZ; all the other current Holiday Inns are repurposed hotels that used to be owned by the NZ gummint or goodness knows who, back in the day. Wish I could rate 5*, but it's 4* due to the teething troubles.

Check in was smooth and fast even though my earlier email requests for King Size bedding wasn't updated but it was solved with during registration just have to wait for 1 hour.
Location is about 25 mins away from city so you'll have a rented car to move around and surrounding do have restaurants and supermarket (walking distance)
Room was basic and cleaned.
Pay Parking is nearby with options with short-term parking for days. (Reasonable price)
Service is bad, we're carrying 4 luggages but none of the front office comes forward to help us. Even after registering we carry our luggages to our room.

We stayed in a 1 King Standard walk in shower smart tv room. It was beautiful, modern and even spacious despite being a smaller room. Everything was so new and clean and having the smart TV was an awesome bonus to watch my own shows and music.
The location is also fabulous, right by the airport (15 minute walk or 3 minute bus or car) and it’s right next to remarkables park (5 minute walk) so you can duck down and get any essentials - a liquor store, a new world supermarket, cafe and pharmacy and more. If you need to get to town there is a bus stop both at remarkables park or the street right behind the hotel. People who have commented on the location being difficult to get to town have obviously got their noses too high in the air to jump on a bus (there’s a stop literally behind the hotel) or even an Uber.
Only downsides are the expensive 3% surcharge for credit cards and i don’t think it wasn’t designed with much accessibility in mind - lots of stairs and nooks and crannies if you’re a wheelchair user you might find it a little challenging.

We booked here for the onsite restaurant and parking as we were arriving mid evening and leaving early. We checked in and were told there was no parking available. We were not told the restaurant was closed until we came back downstairs for dinner at 7pm. We were also not given any wifi info or told the compendium could be found on the TV and there is nothing in the room to reflect this either.
This meant that instead of enjoying the room we paid for we had to go looking for somewhere to eat on Monday night in Frankton - not as easy task as places were either full (with other hotel guests) or closed already.
The room was lovely but we didn't get to enjoy it and this made the room rate paid way overpriced.

Apart from the great view on the Coronet Peak in the early morning, the room was as high standard as I was used to when staying with Holiday Inn. Since I wanted to relax after a good ski session, I decided to stay well of the party scene in Queenstown. My room was very quiet, well insulated and I heard my neighbours just once during the day, when they met with a group of friends. I heard virtually nothing from around me and had a very restful stay. Before going out to dine I had a drink at the bar, the staff being very polite and helpful.

I found my stay at this brand new hotel odd. Check in was lacklustre. Bored staff. Minimal greeting. No smiles. No upgrade offered despite platinum status, no free parking despite platinum status - expensive spot offered in an open and insecure area. Lobby and services on ground floor have multiple stairs and level changes. Odd in a new hotel that the architects have chosen to have several levels that present issues for older guests and those with mobility issues. From the car park, there is a peculiar and dangerous “moving floor” that seems to have been placed as an afterthought. Room was small and pokey, with an odd selection of furniture that cluttered the tiny floor space, making it difficult to manoeuvre suitcases. Only enough hanging space for 2 or 3 items. Restaurant closed on several nights. We were given a letter from the manager stating the “team” needed a rest, which may have been code for “we won’t pay staff overtime”. Informed at checkin that there is no room servicing but not given a reason. I stay at a hotel to get service, and this hotel is advertised as a full service hotel. Again, I suspect that they are not paying enough wages to attract enough staff to allow the hotel to function. At least they didn’t use COVID as an excuse like so many other businesses that are refusing to pay decent wages are doing. Hallways on room level dirty, marks and sticky spots over carpets. Upon entry, the room was dirty. Rubbish was found behind curtains (see photo). Bed very uncomfortable and travel partner suffered considerable back pain. Received a letter under door on first night which I thought at first may be an apology for the dirty room. No such luck but it stated that there would be “maintenance” in our room so please be gone by 0900. Not enough housekeeping staff but plenty of maintenance it would seem. With lack of service, dirty room and corridors , dining options closed, and disinterested staff, decided to not let such an awful experience ruin our holiday and checked out a day early. An expensive choice to stay at this hotel.

Rooms are nice and beds comfortable with fantastic views from the top floor. Our package included breakfast. Sorry to say the breakfast served during 4 stay was very average if you are a vegetarian.
The staff is good and caring. The location is far away from Queenstown. However a local bus costing just $2 is avaiable at every 15 min interval until mid night. Overall a pleasant experience except for the breakfast. That is the reason I have rated it as 3.

I booked 2 bedrooms for 10 days. After 04 days without cleaning services I complained and was informed that they don’t provide bedroom cleaning. But it was not informed previously during the booking neither after our arrivel. If I was told about that I would prefer an Airbnb (cheaper and cleaner).

We were at the end of a long international day+ of traveling. Craving a comfortable bed, we had high hopes for the Holiday Inn Remarkables near the Queenstown Airport. The first room we were given was unbearable. Hint: when you're given a sheet of instructions upon check-in that states 'to keep your curtains closed given how hot it is' - maybe the best move is to not check in at all. The heat was so intense in the room that two of the employees at different times called it a sauna. Which it was.
AC was useless and the instructions were off the mark. The front desk told us they controlled the AC and would make the room comfortable in 20 minutes. Long after that we were told how to adjust the AC in our rooms, but the instructions given were wrong. Finally, with no relief in sight and after insisting the room wasn't going to cool off we were moved to another room.
Later that evening in the new room the electricity went out and we couldn't go to sleep as the emergency ultra bright lights came on. We were getting ready to make yet another move when an employee showed us how to reset the breaker.
Management told us they preferred to not put people in the original room we were placed in. The reason they did was that a refrigerant pipe had broken so some rooms were offline. So we got the brunt of that decision.
The people were good, but the building isn't. It's just not ready for prime time. And given all the hassle and misery we experienced, you'd think there would be some consideration offered. Isn't that 'Hotel 101' to comp something when so much goes wrong? Even a drink at the bar would have been appreciated. Tough to read others got two free drinks upon arrival.
There are other hotels in the area, if you need to stay near the airport.
Not recommended.
