I stayed in one of the modern well-appointed cottages. It was tastefully decorated, but but not overdone. The view is north-facing and serene, with no traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. A great location - easy access to Queenstown and Arrowtown, but equally a great place to simply sit and relax.

We booked the entire property for a 5 day holiday of adventure-packed family and friends celebration. The accommodation was first class. the rooms are so comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The location was superb so close to everything - Arrowtown, the mountain, the airport, and Queenstown. The firepit was a fabulous venue to socialise.

We had a great stay in the very well designed cottages, that provided privacy and space. The location meant everything was super easy - direct access to the lake and loop track walk, a close drive to the most beautiful parts and restaurants of the Arrowtown and Queenstown area, and a lovely window bench to recline on when back in the cottage for a relaxing wine!

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was amazing! Beautiful part of the area but still close to Queenstown, Arrowtown and the local wineries. The Lake Hayes walking path is right out the front of the cottages. There is an open fire, underfloor heating, divine throw rugs and heated towel rails. So warm we slid the big windows open and enjoyed the day bed. Hot tub and outside fire called the ‘Pinot Pit’. Excellent kitchen set up, wine glasses and coffee machine. They have thought of everything! The surrounding area, road in and views are incredible. Love, love, loved it! Thank you

The Cottages at Lake Hayes are a must stay. Absolutely beautiful inside and out with a real touch of luxury. There is ample space for two couples (the space is bigger than the photos portray). There are so many separate spaces to enjoy too if you want some time out. Nice and private. The window seat is such a stunning spot to sit and read a book or hang your feet out and look at the amazing scenery. We can not wait to come back and stay again. The personal touches left by the owners are a bonus. We had our baby with us and without requesting, they put up a port-a-cot, left a toy box, provided kid friendly cutlery and crockery. It was such a nice touch that we really appreciated. It is evident they go above and beyond for their guests. The cottage was extremely clean and well appointed including beautiful artwork. Close to Arrowtown/Lake Hayes Estate/Frankton. There is no AC but fans are provided. We stayed in the peak of summer heat and they were sufficient for keeping us cool in the evening. Highly recommend staying here.
