My parents went to the Hilton under the impression that they were in a disability room as one of my parents requires assisted furniture. The seats are incredibly low and one of my parents had to sit on their bed the entire stay. The continued unhelpful service was appalling, they asked reception three times and other workers for help with a higher seat for one of my parents. This was just ignored. One waitress was lovely and offered a free coffee and was the only employee that simply listened. Hilton staff need to sharpen there service, especially when they advertise a disability room!!! They were not told that they had to walk from a completely different hotel to park, walk up hill and pay for this as an extra cost. They will not be staying again.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our suite was huge with lounge and large bathroom, lots of room, very comfortable. Bed was big and comfy. Pool & spa nice. Check in and out were easy. Buffet breakfast had a good selection as well as the waffle machine which was excellent. Nice outlook in the restaurant overlooking the lake. Water taxi costs $5 to take you over to Queenstown central, that was very handy. Parking was free around the neighboring hotel if you were lucky enough to find one otherwise $16 a day or valet parking $40 a day. The not so good: Dined in the restaurant for dinner but wasn't impressed with my meal especially as it was expensive for what you got. Overall it was great accommodation on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and we felt it was great value for money.

We stayed 5 nights Easter week. It was nice and quiet until Saturday due to no tourists except for kiwis. We were in a king suite with private outdoor spa. The room was spacious, clean, had a nice view. It does need a bit of work it’s not the most modern and there’s a few lights not working, shower head wasn’t very good. Bed was comfy and feather pillows were good too. The indoor pool is nice but quite cold. We were surprisingly impressed with the buffet breakfast, there is a big variety and it’s all delicious. The water taxi is a great option to get into town albeit a bit rough when the wind picks up. It’s about 15-20min drive into town, not exactly close, but we were happy with that. We found all staff warm and friendly.

Awesome location and staff are friendly. But very old rooms and cleanliness was below average . Old furniture and broken shelf in kitchen , toilet roll holders coming out etc etc.. Didn’t meet my expectations from Hilton.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a smallish road trip around the bottom bit of the mainland. I am a member of their loyalty programme and as a result we’re offered a really good deal on the accommodation, hard to ignore really as we had stayed in more expensive motels. We had a king room with a lake view, all very good. Comfortable, clean and spacious, we certainly could have stayed longer. Our first night we had pizza down by the lakeside, the pub was closed. Again, all good all very palatable. We had breakfast in the same area on our second morning, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and professional, Brandon on the front desk and Giovanna in the breakfast area particularly so. There was a slightly empty feel to the property, with various areas shut off, obviously the current situation is a factor but given the size of the place it felt a little eerie. The parking situation could be better. Location is at the Frankton end of the lake so there is a 10 min drive into town although Frankton has become more and more developed. Rumours of Queenstown’s demise have been exaggerated somewhat. Certainly not crazy busy but business was certainly brisk and parking remains an issue. The water taxi from the hotel is probably a good option. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our all to brief stay, we will be back.

Room Tip: Pay a bit more for the king size lake view rooms, worth it.
