Welcome to Adventure Queenstown Hostel. Catering to independent travellers from around the world we offer mostly shared room accommodation and run in-house activities 5 nights a week to make it easy to meet fellow explorers from all around the world. Our beds are solid timber bunks with comfortable innerspring mattresses. Balcony spaces are the best in town and a great place to enjoy a drink in the sun. The lounge and dining areas are large for a small hostel which allows plenty of room to chill out, or you can cook up a feast in the well equipped kitchen. There is a tour desk where our friendly staff can help you plan your activities, as well as a separate storage/locker room with secure bicycle parking and ski & snowboard storage. We offer loads of free stuff and even a simple laundry service. We are a smaller hostel with a maximum capacity of just 43 people - the perfect number for keeping a family atmosphere which is still fun and vibrant. Being the most central accommodation in town, you're just a minutes' walk to everything. At night you can sleep soundly as there are no bars directly by us. Operated by a well-travelled owner we draw on experience from having collected the best ideas from hostels in dozens of different countries and putting them all in the one place amazing place!

Adventure Queenstown Hostel offers an exceptional hostel experience with its central location and two large sunny balconies offering mountain views. The little, thoughtful details, such as bottle opener key rings, shower gel, sockets and curtains for each bed and the included towels, show the attention paid to backpackers. The impeccable cleanliness and optimal organization also underline the quality of the hostel. There is even a laundry service for 8nzd (super fast and practical). The staff, especially Taylor and Joey, are extremely helpful and friendly. You feel in this hostel almost like home. Congratulations to the whole team and thank you for this welcome which makes the holidays even more wonderful!

Loved my stay. Very welcoming friendly staff. Nice little personal touches. Free use of bikes, gopros, padlocks, hairdryer, straightners. Great kitchen with Spotify. TV room with Netflix. I made friends really easily in this friendly little hostel. Would definitely recommend.

Good location but very unclean. Arrived here to find dirty tissues and food wrappers on the floor that remained there for the entirety of my trip. A couple of days in when looking for something lost around my bed, found many many food wrappers around the side of my bed. Bathrooms were not well ventilated and had some mould. Most things in the kitchen were very dirty including fridges, plates, floors and the cleaning equipment itself. Such a shame as the location is great and all the staff are very nice. Good vibes for partying.

We loved our stay at Advenure Hostel, by far the best in Queenstown. It’s situated next to everything you need and has amazing facilities (in case you don’t eat in Fergburger every night). Amelie and the team are legends, and they’ll take great care of you - I’m sad we couldn’t stay longer!

Such wonderful staff! Each night has a fun set of activities planned and everyone in the hostel is super friendly so it's easy to make friends! Hostel is very clean and there is a nice outdoor area. Each bunk bed comes with USB charging port and lamp. Stayed in 3 other hostels in Queenstown and this one was by far the best!!

This hostel is excellent, in a great location. The women's dorm room was nice and had an ensuite bathroom with an excellent powerful shower, which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had lots of activities for guests to do. The kitchen and dining area was big and well stocked. The atmosphere in the hostel was relaxed and friendly, and guests didn't make any noise after about 10pm as those who weren't sleeping would go out to the bars rather than stay in the hostel to party.

I stayed here during Queenstown marathon. My room was double room with ensuite “James’ room”. The hostel is great location at the central of town, close to everything. It is very close to the pick-up bus and the finishing line. It’s 3min walking from the hostel to the bus stop to the airport. I will stay here again when I visit Queenstown. PS. My room is opposite Fat Badgers pizza bar. It was a bit noisy on Friday (people were chatting).

There were a lot of things I liked about this hostel. The location was excellent, there were multiple common areas, the scenery was great (as with the whole of Queenstown, I guess), and they even lent things like iPads and a range of other things for free. I probably didn't need to bring as much as I did with me.
However... I found the place too noisy at night and had trouble sleeping, especially on Saturday night. Now, fair enough... it's a hostel, there will be noise on a Saturday. But, the staff were very clear in telling me we when I arrived that it wasn't allowed to make noise in the hostel after 10pm, and that they would kick people out after certain times if they were being noisy. I didn't see any evidence of this in practice, and well into the night people were making noise in the kitchen, running around the corridors etc. And what were the staff doing? Joining them. The staff seem to live in the hostel and treat it like their own home. Guests are not the first priority.
Finally, I'm sorry to say that I found the bed very uncomfortable. The mattress was way too firm and I woke up with a sore back each morning.

a storage room/ drying room for your own equipment too
and a knowledgeable staff who are happy to book you a ski package that you would like best!
