To say that this is a four star hotel is a gross exageration. The rooms are very tiny and then made even smaller by the internal supports taking up the whole window. The room was "serviced" daily but no vacuming or sheet change was done in the four nights we stayed there. It was not a cheap stay but when I complained that SKY Tv was not working; I was told that this had been switched off to save money during Covid. The bathroom was very very small with pocket sized hard towels and don't get me started on how thin and inadequate the toilet paper was... for a luxury hotel. If I hadn't paid in advance I would not have stayed and will not be again. The saving grace for the hotel is Frank's Coco Cabana restuarant and bar - supberb.
Great studio room, we pretty much dropped our gear and were out of the room for most of the 2 nights we stayed. Kitchen facilities were handy and bed was comfy. Great value being only 5 mins walk from the town centre, would happily stay again.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The room itself is very compact. Queen bed, TV, Fridge, kettle. Compact shower/toilet area. But, this is more than adequate for the 2 of us. And, of course who stays inside while at Queenstown? Its just a room to rest your head. Very clean and fresh. Great location close to town. But, beware there is a short/steep hill to get back up to the hotel. We are not young and coped fine up and down the hill during the day/evening. The hotel is unmanned it is not 24hr service. Also the bar/restaurant was only open for breakfast. So no place to get a drink or coffee. But, I totally understand as it could be due to Covid and lack of staffing/ customers.
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment during ski season. Great location and easy walk into town (even in the rain 😀). The facilities were great although they were undertaking a renovation of the restaurant & outside bar while we were there in July 2021 - no problems though. Great in-apartment laundry facilities. Small kitchen area… better for breakfast & lunch. Main negative is a lack of parking around the hotel and an inability to book valet parking in advance ie it’s the luck of the draw. Will be back! Queenstown traffic is now terrible so this is a great place for central city access and a drive to activities including ski fields - you just have to find a park.
Fantastic stay. You can’t beat the location for the value!! The studio rooms are great, kitchenette and laundry. Great views, we stay on level 2 and 4. Friendly staff. Very quiet rooms. Excellent value for Queenstown. Must stay
