Friendly front of house and house keeping staff. Although there are staffing shortages everywhere, the staff here were always available and helpful. Our house keeping team although on a 3 day turn around service, did not get to service our room while we were there, offered towels and extra tea, coffee without hesitation when requested. Thank you so much!
The decor is quite out dated and while at first it was off putting, (cream/green interior hallway and furniture, corridor stained carpets, seeing the size of our room and how clean it was made up for it.
The bed was a king/possible super king, very comfortable and extra pillows provided.
The continental breakfast is more than sufficient. Again the waiting staff I approached where happy to top up, add more (the pastries).
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Kia Ora Shelza, Thank you for taking the time to post a wonderful review! I am glad to read that you enjoyed our helpful, friendly staff. They work hard to provide excellent service to all guests! We agree that the spacious rooms, comfortable beds and top quality linen is an advantage while staying with us. Thank you for mentioning the common areas, we are currently working on rectifying this. Once again Shelza, thank you for the review and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel soon!

It was a great stay overnight at really good hotel. Spacious room, good service, friendly and helpful staff at receptionist. The room was clean, beds were comfy, and bathroom and toilet were superb. As the bonus, there was a free sauna facility one hour per room per day. The location is not at Queenstown centre, it is approx. 20 minutes driving time, however for guests without own car, the hotel provides free bus shuttle services between this hotel and Queenstown city centre every hour until late evening. Restaurant is also available in this hotel.

Check-in was friendly and easy, and it was pointed out that they were short staffed so room servicing was only being done every three days. The front desk staff did highlight that if we needed anything just to ask.
The room itself was a bit tired and needed a refresh. The wooden window frame shows signs of water damage and there are cracks appearing around some of the ceiling joins. The room heater, while effective, was quite noisy when operating. Otherwise it was warm, comfortable, quiet (excluding the heater) and clean.
Location is great if you are heading for Coronet Peak. A 20 minute-ish drive had us from the hotel and into the mountain cark parks, so super handy. You are about 10 to 15 minutes from Queenstown by car so that may be something to consider.
I suppose it all comes down to would be stay here again? No. Despite the friendly staff the place needs an overhaul and in the end the location whilst great for Coronet was restrictive if you did not have a car to shoot back into Queenstown.

Much to improve on. I couldn't get through to reception to talk to someone before arriving. It looks like since covid the reception and breakfast all runs from bowling strike (not like the pics) ... might have been a good idea to ensure the reception phone was moved there too. My deal included a shuttle to coronet peak which wasn't operating and a daily continental breakfast which wasn't available one day so I had to pay for a normal breakfast. On the up side, the room was great and all of the staff were very friendly. Such a shame, it's a management issue.

After spending a couple of months travelling around in our camper having a nights break here was luxury! It's not the most up to date and modern of hotels but it had everything we needed and more. The bed was super comfortable and bathroom very clean. I don't know if we got a special deal but it was brilliant value only $10 more than the campsites in town - and space at those was limited! You can't really walk into town but the hotel was offering a free shuttle for guests and if you've got transport its not that hard either.

While I don't wholeheartedly recommend you stay away, anyone choosing to stay here should know what they're in for.

As a young couple not too fussed with luxury this hotel was fine. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast included with our deal (via Luxury Escapes) added much value.

However almost every aspect of the hotel is in need of repair, remodelling or renovation. On the way to your rooms you will notice the carpet has worn away in the corridors, and the smoke doors violently swing back at you and threaten to break the toe or nose of your companion behind you (sometimes admittedly with comical effect). Our room had no main light, but instead had five wall mounted lights each with its own switch, spaced perfectly away from each other so that your bedtime routine involves a quick lap around the room. The heat pump, while invaluable during the winter, makes a loud enough racket to impose on your sleep. In the bathroom, water from the shower struggles to maintain a consistent temperature. Cleaning not only happens a mere once every three days, but when they do come all they do is replace the towels.

Perhaps my favourite part of the hotel, whether it is positive or negative is up to you, is the bowling alley and adjacent games arcade right slap bang in the middle of the building. Its impossible to miss due to the sudden change in carpet to a technicoloured space-style pattern, and the echo of dance/pop music through the glass doors. While my younger self might have found this fascinating, it seemed to me now an odd and outdated relic to '80s shopping malls. Whatever it is, I found it amusing to walk past every morning on the way to breakfast.

To reiterate my main point, this is a perfectly fine stay if you can live with the above limitations. But one must be warned of these limitations before arrival. Either way, I hope the old place is booked in for a makeover soon.

Booked this hotel as a last minute stay in Queenstown and we were not disappointed! Price was cheap, the room was very large and great view, the hotel had a spa pool for guest use as well as a small arcade and bowling alley.

This is the one place we always recommend our friends to stay. No complaints at all !! Couldn't have been more impressed with a hotel that is cheap on price that provide quality customer service and awesome facilities as well.

We stayed at the Hotel after our flight was cancelled last minute. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and instantly less anxious after a very stressful afternoon. We ended up having to stay an extra couple of days and we’re very grateful for the staff for accommodating us and making us feel welcome. After all the places we stayed over our time in NZ this was one of our favourite despite the circumstances. Greatly appreciate the team and their friendly personalities, keep up the good work!

Like any other guest when you wake up in the morning, you want your breakfast ready. When we went to the restaurant for breakfast, we have to turn the hot water on, we have to ask for milk etc. Since we turned the hot water on, of course we have to wait for the water to boil for 5-10mins. So the waiting time for our coffee plus our order is roughly 20mins. Or so which I could have slept instead. No bread, fruits or cereals but there are jams. Funny! Breakfast at maccas would have been better.

We stayed here for 2 days in dec. The resort is far from the town center where all the activites are. Thankfully they have free shuttle service to and from the city.
The hotel itself feels old and could definitely use some upgrade. The rooms are not too big. And the breakfast for additional charge is avergae too. Too add to this the room charges are extremely high. Maybe this is a Queenstown thing but at 500 NZD per night this was the most expensive and yet most mediocre hotel we stayed in our entire NZ trip. Not VFM at all.
