Delightful two bedroomed self-contained cottage in private rural setting with mountain views. Main bedroom has a king bed, second bedroom with twin king singles can be made up as superking if required. The cottage is located well away from the main house for privacy and has a sunny verandah, its own garden with outdoor seating and bbq area plus ample parking. The cottage is very well equipped with full kitchen facilities, gas heat pump, electric blankets and ski boot drying rack for the cooler months with quality linen and all cleaning included. Home baking a speciality. Less than 5 minutes from historic Arrowtown and 15 minutes from Queenstown airport but in a quiet rural location yet only 20 minutes from the nearest skifield at Coronet Peak which can be seen from the property. Ideal as a base for the many activities on offer in the Queenstown and Lakes district or for a quiet getaway or romantic weekend. Let us know if your visit is for a special occasion.

We stumbled on this gem 10 years ago and were blown away by the standard of the cottage and the generous hospitality of Jane and Roger. Finally we made it back (Scotland is a long way away) and the charm of the cottage and warmth of the welcome were just superb. It was so good to be back and next time hopefully won’t take us 10 years.
If you want a place to stay close to Queenstown with lovely surroundings, very comfortable, spacious accommodation and a warm welcome then this is the place for you.

Orchard Cottage is absolutely wonderful! We stayed there for two nights in November, 2014, but wish we had stayed longer. It's located just outside of Arrowtown and we had such a relaxing and beautiful stay there. When we arrived, Jane had some delicious lemon muffins she had made for us. The cottage is fantastic, beautifully landscaped, and decorated with lots of flowers and such pretty views of the countryside. Highly recommended!

A wonderful cottage with friendly, helpful hosts who go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay. We appreciated their local knowledge and recommendations on walks, places to see, etc and all the extra thoughtful things Jane does, like home baking, etc. Would certainly recommend staying here and will stay here again.

What a wonderful cottage - quiet with great outlook, very well equipped and looked after with obvious love and care by the owners who live next door. Lots of little extras like free wi fi, freshly baked muffins and fresh cut herbs. So homely and comfortable we were sad to drag ourselves away after two nights - wished we had stayed a week! Our best in New Zealand. Arrowtoeb heaps better than Queenstown

Our second stay at Orchard Cottage, this time in Richmond which was just as gorgeous. As usual absolutely the accommodation was spotless with Jane thinking of everything right down to the home baked muffins. Yum!!! Roger keeps the gardens in immaculate shape and all in all we can't fault this idyllic home from home. We would like to repeat the experience for many years to come.
Thank you Roger and Jane for making our stay so perfect.

We appointed cottage, with a peaceful aspect to the mountains. Ideal for a couple or young family (the second bedroom is off the master bedroom). Little extras included home baking on arrival and a drop-off at the wedding we were attending. Lovely.

This is truly a piece of paradise. The most delightful cottage complete with delightful hosts amidst some of the best scenery in the world. The cottage is more than comfortable. Jane and Roger have thought of everything to make this a perfect place to be - fresh herbs; fresh muffins; a bowl for popcorn and the wherewithal to make it; plush dressing gowns; a kitchen equipped for a chef!; reading material and games to keep you entertained for days without having to leave and all this within a minute of great restaurants, cafes, wineries (there is one literally 'around the corner'). The only drawback at all is being torn between wanting to sight-see but not wanting to leave such a comfortable and magic place. I wouldn't look to stay anywhere else in the Wakatipu Basin -this is it!

Jane and Roger are warm, friendly hosts who went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating.
Rather than the Cottage, itself, we were in one of the one bedroom apartments. There was a good choice of ingredients with which to make up our breakfast. There was some home baking to greet us on arrival.
The rooms were clean, spacious and a lot of care had obviously been taken in the decoration. There are lovely views from the rear of the property and an outdoor seating/eating area from which to enjoy them.

When I contacted the hosts about staying at Orchard Cottage it was already booked but they offered us a one bedroom apartment on the end of their house and it is perfect for a couple. Communication with Jane was good beforehand and on arrival we were warmly greeted and there was even a welcome sign up and it was a wonderful way to start our New Zealand adventure after a long flight.

A welcome pack was awaiting us with homemade cake and Jane also kindly provided us after our long flight with a breakfast basket (for a small charge) with homemade muesli, fruit juice, delicious fresh fruit compote, yoghurt, different breads, jam and marmalade, which actually kept us going for the three days we were there. The apartment is like home from home and is beautifully furnished with all the little touches and Jane and Roger are lovely hosts who are on hand to give advice on where to go etc or give you your privacy. What could be better than waking up in the morning with a view of the Remarkable Mountain range!

The cottage and apartment are set in beautiful gardens, positioned close to Arrowtown, only 5 mins away, which is definitely worth a visit and has lots of lovely restaurants for dinner. Queenstown is about 20 mins away and the airport is only 15 minutes away so perfect after a long flight. We couldn't fault anything, apart from the wet weather but that wasn't our hosts fault, and it was as perfect as it could be and one of the highlights of our New Zealand holiday.

We have just spent 10 peaceful nights at orchard cottage . It was a family ski holiday. We skied mostly at Cardrona but Coronet peak and The Remarkables are very close too. The cottage is sunny, bright, clean and so comfortable with beautiful views. You feel like a local with Jane looking after you and advising you on where to go and what to do. Jane and Roger welcomed us warmly and treated us like relatives. Each day Jane wrote a message to us on the blackboard near the front door. She even played spotlight with our 3 children one night! So a lovely comfortable place to stay in the countryside but close to Arrowtown which is nicer than Queenstown with great restaurants and a movie cinema.

As I'm not the owner, and as well I even live in another country, I cannot answer your question. You would need to contact the owners directly, I hope you can get to stay there, it's lovely.
