Abba Court Motel was a great place to stay for our time in Queenstown. Walking distance to main streets for easy access to restaurants, shopping and all activities. Beautiful views from our room, and the service was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Very helpful having a laundry on site and supermarket just across the road, less than a minute walk away. We definitely recommend - it was just what we needed!

Great location for our whistle stop tour around the south island and good base for Queenstown to walk into town, hiking and up for the luges. Easy check in and comfortable accomodation, nice shower to return to at the end of a long day walking and comfortable beds.

I stayed in the apartment 4 (one bedroom apartment). The location is convenient having within walking distance a supermarket, laundromat and the city centre. It is also very quite for resting properly as you don't hear any noises from the roads/streets. The kitchen is well equipped for short holiday having microwave, stove, toaster, etc as described in their website. The whole place keeps warm in winter and it has 2 towel dryers to keep whatever you need to dry, dry. The couch is comfy and the tv and furniture are good quality. The mattress could be a bit more firm but despite I like firmer mattresses I slept very well. There are enough blankets and heaters among pillows for extra comfort. The apartment was clean, tidy and warm upon arrival and the communication with the owner was excellent all the time. It also has free parking. 100% recommeded.…

We stayed 4 nights in April and in general we were pleased with the quality of the room, its furnishings and layout. However there was no electric blanket even though the temperature was close to 1 degree some nights.The manager expressed surprise that the bed didnt have one when we mentioned it. Also no sky channels. We stay extensively in NZ motels and would find few motels without both of these items. The onsite parking is a problem. The motel is situated above the road with tricky drive on access on a busy T intersection. Parkling is split between upper and lower parking areas. The upper area has a locked gate to get onto the property and considerable steps down to the accommodation. The place could do with a tidy up, weeds etc dont give the impression of a cared for property. If I was staying here again I would be without a car, its an easy walk into Queenstown central and I would stay in summer. The manager was very helpful when local knowledge was needed.…

Thanks for the review Graham and it is disappointing you are disappointed in some aspects. Yes i was surprised that there were no electric blankets on those beds, I must have removed them at the start of summer and they will be replaced come winter time, Yes it may have got to 1 degree outside one night however it was nice and warm in your recently double glazed room. No we don't have Sky and nor will we be getting it. You are only about the 3rd or 4th person to complain about it. We have smart TV's in all of the rooms for you to stream whatever you like, otherwise please feel free to search for this when looking for somewhere to stay. If you had asked me when you were booking I would have advised you then. There is no problem with our parking, we have plenty of it. The driveway could only be an issue for anyone with limited driving ability but we have all types of vehicles coming up and down the driveways all day long with no issues. It was also explained to you at the time that the room that you were booking had a parking space in our upper carpark via several steps, this is also in our listings so I do not understand the need to put it in a review, we are very open about this. If you wanted access without the stairs you could have chosen one of our more expensive rooms that have parking next to them. You were on a budget so you wanted a budget room so this is what I gave you. My apologies if there were a couple of weeds about, if you hadn't heard there is a massive shortage of staff so I am having to do everything including the gardening which I attend to when I can. The most important thing in my view is the cleanliness of the rooms which I'm sure gave you the "impression of a cared for property" Thanks again, Lyndon (owner)

Loved the room and the location! It was a 5min flat walk into town or to the gondola and right across the road from 2 supermarkets (super convenient!). The service from Lyndon and his team were exceptional and they were lovely to deal with. The room itself was modern and very clean, with lots of space which was well received after a long day of adventuring. The shower was fantastic and the air conditioning and heating worked really well. I’m not sure why other reviewers had an issue with the parking spaces, as I found them to be more than big enough for the mid-sized SUV I hired and there was ample turning space. At that price point its honestly an exceptional place and can’t be beaten. I’ll definitely be back again!

A great place to stay. Very comfortable and warm. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, beds comfortable and smart tv. Handy to all of Queenstown. Fantastic views that you could sit there all day and admire. Lyndon was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I recently stayed here at Abba Motel. We found the motel very comfortable beautifully clean and dog friendly and a supermarket over the road perfect! The motel was only 3 mins walk (and we are retired ) into central Queenstown amazing. Lyndon the owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions .of great places to eat and go to that are dog friendly. We will definitely go back and the tariff was great. Thanks Lyndon

Lovely room, clean modern interior, comfortable, great price. We had a balcony room with a view across to Queenstown hills and gondola that are beautifully typical of the area and a generous glimpse of the Remarkables. Grocery store 1 minutes walk and town just a short walk. Not the 'high end' but the reasonable rates offset that and we would definitely stay again. We didn't travel with a dog this time but they are welcome

After car trouble left me and my dogs stranded in Queenstown my unexpected trip was completely turned around with a lovely stay at Abba Court. Lyndon was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Facilities were clean and had everything we needed. Location was brilliant easy 5 min walk to Queenstown centre and just across the road from a supermarket and cafe. A park nearby to walk the dogs. Will definitely be back again for a longer stay

First time staying at Abba Court Motel. We chose this property as they were pet friendly (we took our small dog with us). The 2 bed apartment was a really good size, clean, tidy and good location into the centre of town. Lyndon was really helpful with great communication. We'll definitely stay here again. Highly recommend. The views to the Gondola were also great!
