We were saddened that the Millenium Hotel cancelled our booking with late notice and no explanation , so we looked for another place to stay either side of walking the Routeburn Trail. We stayed here, a couple of hundred yards from the Hotel. We were given a lovely warm welcome, the apartment was clean, comfy and just what we needed. We asked if we could leave our luggage with them whilst we walked the trail and they couldn’t have been more accommodating, we had a different room 3 days later and they had our suitcase in there. We were able to have a hot bath, walk for 10 mins into Queenstown ( downhill into town, uphill home) for our final evening, before a lovely sleep pre flight home. Perfect. Will use again next visit to the South Island.
Me my partner and family members stayed over new years from the 31st Worst mistake we made booking with you guys it was like living in Dunedin with a hole lot of drunk kids in the middle of the drive way with about 20 or so people until we rang the manager and she didn't seem to care at all and the 2 nights we stayed you guys allowed the same people who were haveiny a party in your drive way continue to party for the last 2nigghts keeping me and my partner awake ⏰ banging and crashing throwing bottles from the balcony honestly waste my money wasn't peaceful the managers don't care about you or there motels otherwise they would have kicked the same people out drinking and haveing partys in there motel rooms ! Would not EVER come back and will be telling everyone about our terrible experience here…
We stayed 5 nights without problem and enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Free parking was useful for us and there was a clothes washing room. Only 5 minute walk into the centre of town but it’s up hill walking back. Our only criticism was the free Wifi, it was painful slow to the point of being useless, we ended up using our own cellphone data to use the internet.
No hot water on arrival, complained and told it was fixed. Still no hot water by afternoon or even next morning and evening. Tried ringing at 5.30 pm. Took 32 phone calls to contact management by 8 p.m Eventually got key to different room. No apology - no discount. Would not stay again or recommend.
The Queenstown Apartments Motel is well located, not central but a nice approximate 10 minute walk to downtown. The room was well appointed with a small kitchen. Very clean. We were in unit 1, close to the road but with a nice view.
