Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Comfortable room with good facilities, very convenient for Queenstown airport. Despite being so close we didn’t hear any aircraft noise. Close to a supermarket and a couple of restaurants. There is a bus stop just across the road for the bus to Queenstown if required

Was actually meant to book the Ramada in town but I didn’t realise this one even existed. Was told at the other hotel that this happens all the time.. maybe you guys should change something in your name as it’s not really Queenstown you’re in, it’s in Frankton and it’s really confusing. Fortunately the bus systems are really amazing and you can get the number 1 directly outside the hotel straight into town for $2. If that wasn’t the case I would have been extremely disappointed as we would’ve had to travel in and out of Queenstown multiple times. The worst part is each Ramada is owned by a different company so I couldn’t even transfer. The hotel itself was nothing special, our room was pretty dirty, the skirtings were caked in dust, stained carpet and the shower wasn’t great. We attempted to use the dryer and it sounded like the building was collapsing so we abandoned that. No opening windows which I hate. The heat pump was noisey and made it hard to sleep but it was the only way to get the room cool, otherwise it was hot and airless. Staff were friendly but not very informative and on check out didn’t even ask how our stay was. Car parking is free but limited spaces. Wouldn’t go back unless I absolutely had to.

Room Tip: Parking is free but limited spaces and it’s first in first served. Great bus system to get into town

Most impersonable hotel we have ever had within New Zealand and worldwide. We arrived at 830 pm. It was very cold and windy. We went up to the entrance which had no signage explaining that reception closed at 8 pm. The call button near the door just rang to a voice message. The phone number posted underneath was the same number on our confirmation. That rang to the same voice mail. It took 15 minutes, standing in the cold wind before someone answered. He explained how to get into a lock box to get our key and information. He said all of your info is in there. I asked a couple questions of where we go and he rudely said ‘it’s in your instructions’. I asked ‘since it’s freezing out here can you tell me? And he said ‘no. It is in your instructions. We drove around to the back parking garage which did not have good signage. Once parked, it took my husband 10 minutes looking for a luggage cart. Just the entire experience was incredibly impersonable. The room was a 3-star. Clean and ok bed so no complaints there. But the way we had to check in was ridiculous. Glad we didn’t need anything or there was any emergency as I am not sure whom we would have contacted. We have stayed at Ramada and Wyndham before but will not be again.

Studio RM 217. Stayed 1 night #1 Great Location-very near to the airport, quiet and with beautiful mountain views. If you have a car-distance is not an issue but if none it is very far from the cbd area. #2 Comfort-all you need for your basic needs are complete and available, having washing machine and a dryer are a big plus. Also, dishwasher and mini kitchen are convenient. Enough lighting with lamps. Heating was good. And I love the king size bed it's so comfy and soft. #3 Convenience-easy check in and out, with parking space allotted for us. Staffs are nice and considerate, they allowed us to stay till 11am which was enough time for me for my flight. Some improvements needed: The microwave was a bit confusing to use. The cooking vent fan was not working. I cooked so the smell and smoke stayed to our room much longer. The dishwasher's soap dispenser was not working. The bathroom door's lock also broken. Only 1 big mug. (atleast 2 pls) No smart TV :(

Great location, overlooking airport activity without hearing any noise in our room from the airport. Our room had an adjoining door to another unit which was not soundproof at all. Heard voices and tv continually. Fridge interior had not been cleaned. Carpets had numerous black stains on it. Basement car park swipe card access point is very confusing. Need to state where to leave room swipe cards when vacating. Very comfortable bed, good linen and very clean bathroom.

We stayed here for a few days as part of our tour. This was the first hotel that I can recall that has a kitchen (sink, small frig, microwave and electric burners) and more importantly when you are traveling, a washer and dryer. The room was nice and had everything we needed to make our stay a success.

The most annoying thing was the huge steel support that ran along the entire window hindering the magnificence view. It also was very hard not to hit your head on if on that side of the room. We had to tie objects of clothing around it so as not to run into it during the night

Sorry but that "huge steel support" is not part of our hotel. Maybe you stayed in one of the hotels that are nearby. We hope that you have the chance to stay with us in the future.

Had to be one of my worst hotel stays and I definitely wouldn’t return to the Ramada in Queenstown. We arrived to check in only to find the doors locked and reception closed, there was no forewarning that reception would be closed and no after hours contact so we initially thought we had no way to get in. Thankfully a member of our party that we were meeting there had had a change of plans and had arrived earlier than us, originally he was going to be later. Once we got in I headed to my room and the whole floor stunk, I can’t even describe the smell but it was horrendous, I got into my room which was an absolute sauna as the air conditioning didn’t work, they had put a small fan in my room but all that did was move the hot air and smell around. When looking from the bathroom I could see used tissues under the bed and there was dust and hair stuck to the bottom of the toilet door so when you opened and closed the door it worked like a broom. I couldn’t open any windows and had a terrible nights sleep, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It was $250 for the room and it wasn’t worth half that cost.

Due to a flight cancelation, we needed to stay a 4th night. No very accommodating, price started at $600 for 1 night in the same room. We negotiated to $410 but could book online for $318 We believe the hotel could have continued our rate of $350 per night encouraging us to stay often. Rooms were okay, but no as elegant as expected.
