This place is like a dirty pig prison. Uphill trek. Terrible. Noisy fridge. Shower handle needed some crc. Disgusting stains over the carpet. Staff are unfriendly too. For $100 a night I got ripped off.

avoid this hostel at any cost. the good: a bed to sleep. the bad:terrible downhill and uphill trek to center of town. the breakfast area is more like a mob seen, where everybody fights for a seat and for a cup of coffee. laundry room is a pig's sty. noisy.

If you are staying here over New Years be prepared for an influx of teenagers drinking and partying. As one of those partying teenagers reavers didnt let the situation get out of control yet still allowed us to enjoy our stay. The noise ban in the early hours was much appreciated. Just be aware of the steep hill up to...

Reception staff very helpful; breakfast catering very poor. No yogurt fruit or protein at breakfast; Dinner offers v unhealthy - chips/fries, fried fish or steak or hamburgers; no vegetables, few salads, no fruits; v uncomfortable seating arrangements. V noisy at night people moving in and out; environmental noises. Young people/hostel-like environment - might be ok for some people but at...

Our room was really clean. After banging my head three times, like a human Homer Simpson, my brain received the clear message that the ceiling in the bedroom loft area is really low. It was great having the element to cook with; spaghetti on toast, yum! I am a shower in the morning person and this is where my friendship...

LOOK ELSEWHERE NOW! THIS IS NOT A 'HOTEL', 'MOTEL' or 'LODGE'. This place is a dump. Do not be fooled by the 'Lodge' branding. It is a glorified backpackers that is disgusting. Our 'Queen Bed' room was 2 singles pushed together. We didn't even get to sleep in them due to the bed being ridden with bugs and spiders amongst....

So they give you a printoutof all of their accommodations: free breakfast, happy hour and WiFi options... But all of it is wrong. The "free breakfast" ended at 9 even though it was printed as 10am. The cereals were still out and we were turned away - cheap bastards. We paid for WiFi, but couldn't actually use it because their...

The lodge was OK the restaurant\lounge was quite nice & had good view, room was clean and nice beds were comfy. The big drawback was we walked to town and it is uphill all the way back the last block being the steepest.Do not recommend for older people (WE are both 61& has lots of stairs after the hill)

Decent price for a pretty standard room. Water pressure in the shower wasn't the best and the toilet door was broken. Paid for 1GB of data, but it wouldn't connect - so probably don't bother. The view was stunning from the hotel though.
