Beautiful views as the riverside chalets.Spotted kea outside our rooms too. It was the most expensive accommodation we had but it was a comfortable stay.
Shared facilities such as the kitchen was clean and well equipped.
The best - the view is sensational!
The worst - Sandflies are endemic to the area. Insect screens over the windows are flimsy, be careful. And the sliding door has no screen, which means you have to keep it shut, a real shame.

We just returned from new zealand. drove from queenstown to milford sound and it was a pretty long drive. try to start the drive early. We started at 10am and we arrived at about 4pm so it was a total of 6 hours. we had a few times of stop for some stretching and coffee. a drive without breaks is simply impossible to be honest. We also did just a day visit at milford. It was an amazing stay at the lodge and also the cruise was beautiful. there are many place to hike at milford and if you plan to do that, you will need more than a day. but if you are only doing just a cruise and aren't tired from the driving, one day is enough.
