Family style motel where dogs are welcome to stay. The service we received was very efficient and friendly. The motel room was fresh and tidy with good amenities. Free WiFi.
Totally recommend this dog friendly motel.

We stayed for a couple of nights to attend a friends wedding. Very comfortable and the hosts, Anne and Brian, made us feel most welcome, even making our small dog feel welcome. The homemade biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. I totally recommend the cooked breakfast too. Order the night before and it arrives at the designated time hot and fresh and yummy! Lovely garden to sit and while away some free time too.

Stayed here with my 3 children as it was a really good price and the room arrangement was good. Unit was clean and tidy and kitchen and bathroom were modern. Good facilities - microwave, hob, fridge, ironing board, small playground. 2 single beds in one room and queen in lounge. Staff very friendly and helpful and we were given some delicious home-made biscuits on arrival. We were allowed to check out a bit later than 10am as my children overslept after a late night out at a wedding! All in all fantastic value for money.

This is a lovely older style hotel/motel on the road into Invercargill. While it is right on the highway the units are tucked away a bit in the back of the property so you really don’t hear the traffic. It is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The unit we stayed in had a full kitchen and dinning area. This place was one of the few places that advertised Wi-Fi that actually worked!
The hosts at the Garden Grove were exceptionally friendly and helpful with information about Invercargill. I’ve found that most hoteliers are just pleasant enough to get by but there are a few like these folks who are genuinely friendly and it does make a big difference to your stay if you feel welcomed. Highly recommended.

Anne and Brian make you feel very welcome upon arrival, and treat you more like a house guest rather than a travelling guest.
While the units are reasonably spacious and in the style of studios, my own room felt a little cramped due to the (unrequired) addition of an extra bed. Vanity unit in the bathroom was also a little on the small side. However, there were many positives which diminish considerably any negatives. Refreshments are resupplied daily, which includes hot citrus drink sachets and chocolate. Two television screens (independently operated) allows for either separate viewing if there is a desire to watch two separate channels at the same time or watching a programme of choice either in the “lounge” or bedroom. Unit is also well supplied with amenities including both a oven/stove and microwave, and plenty of heating. The (slightly) sunken shower is also quite novel.
Off street parking is plentiful, and in some cases, even under cover.
One further bonus is that it is pet friendly.
While located on a major road, the units are surprisingly quiet, and the Motel even has its own little garden retreat (which also provides vegetables for guests on occasion).
It is located a little away from the city centre (about 3 kilometres), but one would also assume that if you were staying here, you would be doing so with a car.

Enjoyable stay. Booked in as two families, we had 2 units connected by an adjoining door. Rooms were very clean and tidy, beds were fine, rooms were warm, and they had sky tv. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the price was reasonable and the motel was close to town and the local.

We needed an emergency night in Invercargill and I had to be at the hospital until late, when I arrived back at the Motel, the lights/heater and even the electric blanket had been turned on for me - I was so appreciative, such a sweet gesture 💖
The Motel was great and I also noted a number of mirrors in the unit which was great! Thanks heaps Garden Grove for a never to be forgotten memory 💖

We arrived on a very windy, cold day but we were made to feel very welcome by a chatty lady manager. Shown to our unit we were provided with extra blankets. This was very roomy with an interesting shower that you stepped down into. Plenty of grab handles for elderly or disabled people. An older style motel it had obviously been renovated with everything resource needed including a TV in the bedroom. We spent two comfortable days here. Despite being close to a main highway it was very quiet.

We stayed at Garden Grove with our Bichon pup. Unit was warm, spotlessly clean, spacious, fully equipped. Furniture and fittings all comfortable and modern. Our hostess was very welcoming, helpful, we appreciated the chocolate muffins on arrival! All in all, one of the best stays we have had in Invercargill.

Stayed in two bedroom unit for two nights. Ideal for what we needed. Beds very comfortable with electric blankets that were turned on for us while we were out -this was really appreciated. There was plenty of space for four adults. Great service, very helpful with well presented and looked after facilities. Would stay here again.
