A beautiful quiet location right next to the park. The room was spacious and warm and had the most comfortable bed! The washing machine is free and it’s only $2 to use the clothes dryer. Everything was close by and we walked through the park to get coffee and groceries. Eric was kind and really helpful. We’ll be back.

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our trip and 2 nights at the end of our trip. Loved that the room which was so close to Queens Park. Very spacious and comfortable. Great shower. Beds wonderful and comfortable. Coming back for the second 2 nights felt like coming home. Very Quiet. Airport transfers excellent. Wonderful staff. Would definitely go back again and would totally recommend. Great value for money.

Spacious and warm apartment with parking adjacent. Dogs welcome. Comfortable bed and good shower. Very pleasant hosts. Only hiccup was very thick pillows - a bit too deep for both of us. Otherwise a recommended place to stay.

While it is an older motel it was immaculately clean and a most comfortable stay. The room was quiet with a view to the golf course. The manager was most helpful and friendly. So good to have generous-sized towels. We will stay here again when next in Invercargill.

We picked this place by following one of those little blue signs with a bed on it on the main road. We were traveling with our 13 month old so keen to secure a room with separate rooms- allowing us to stay up after 7pm. Mark settled us into a great, very large room and gave me some good local directions on finding good take out and giving me tips on which way to go the next day. Wireless expensive in-room but Mark let us on the one in reception for a quick email check and onward booking.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Queens Park motel - in a standard studio with kitchenette (1st floor). Very comfortable stay overall. The room is neat and cosy, the kitchenette well equipped. Excellent service at the reception for a smooth check-in. We could not have asked for more! Very good value for money at this time of the year in Invercargill. I will definitely visit again!

Clean and comfortable, very quiet as motel is located away from main roads. Owners are very friendly and welcoming, even though they were busy with maintenance and phones when we arrived early.
Business is for sale & would be a great buy for the right people, as they have a target market due to the quiet location.

This was our second trip to the South Island and had already done the big tourist icons, Mount Cook, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Fox and Franz Joseph glaciers etc. People said to us, don't worry about Invercargill, not much down there. They couldn't have been more wrong. We found the Queens Park motel from the AA accommodation guide. Lovely quiet location away from the noisy main thoroughfares (most accommodation is on busy Tay Street). Your neighbors are a school oval and the glorious Queen's Park. After unpacking take the back gate and explore the park - the golf course, free bird aviary and animal farm, the i-centre with museum and a display of live ancient tatura lizards (so can also see these after hours through the glass wall from the park). Invercargill is a surprising city. Good shopping and great base for daytrips to Bluff for the oysters, Stewart Island and the Caitlins scenic drive. We were going to stay two nights, but extended to four. Owners are very helpful with ideas on where to go and what to see. We had a studio, which was okay for the two of us with basic kitchen. One bedroom for not much more looked roomy when I peeped in.

We booked this motel direct with the property, based on Trip Advisor reviews, and were not disappointed. From our first contact to our check-out, the host, Mark, was very helpful and informative. The motel is hidden away off the highway, and adjacent to the lovely Queens Park - there is a tourist information "i-site' in the park - very helpful. The rooms are well appointed, with good cooking facilities and plenty of crockery etc for our party of six. The free laundry and internet were a nice bonus. There is a supermarket, bank etc just five minutes drive away. Whilst the motel is not the newest in Invercargill, it is well maintained and looks recently refurbished. We would stay there again.

Three people stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights, went to Stewart Island for 2 nights and returned here for 1 night. The accommodation has a 4 star Qualmark rating...and justly so. The bonus is free laundry + $2/hr for dryer. But there are clotheslines one may use.
Owner on premises...couldn't have been nicer. He booked our ferry to/from Stewart Island, accommodation and tours on the island. We left most of our luggage in his care while going to Stewart Island...only taking the minimum with us. It made for an easy and pleasureable 5 days!

Located in a quiet neighborhood, next to Queens Park.
