This place was everything you need for the budget traveller. Altho its not close to the inner city It's close to all I needed. Has takeaway fish n chips , superette food outlet and fuel station 2 mins away. Excellent WiFi. I had 1 bedroom and had another single bed in lounge for the child.
Pillows were too hard for me.

Hello, we are a family of 5.
The unit was reasonably spacious, clean, and tidy.
The motel has a spanish old style theme.
The rounded arches in front of the unit makes it a bit tricky for car parking as the car parks are a bit tight but should be plenty of space if the units were not all occupied.
Found the night to be fairly quiet and the sleep restful even though its on the main road.
Quite good value too. Host wasn't unfriendly, but though a smile or two would have been nice. :-)
There were also some nice complimentary cookies. yum.

We went to this motel to stay one night, it looked very quiet as there was only one car at one of the units and it was after 5pm, so we asked to see the room and the Owner or manager an older lady sighed and moaned and took us out to the unit on the main road which was very old and getting all the noise from the main road. So we asked if she had a quitter room in the complex and she said she did but it would be the same size room and $10.00 more expensive. So we didn't stay due to her bad attitude and wanting to charge more for one a couple of doors up.

Just returned from a trip around the South Island. Stayed at the Hacienda on the way up the East Coast. As other's have mentioned, the parking is a bit tricky when the motel is full. The unit (number 5) we stayed in was clean, spacious and comfortable for our one night stay.

Had one night here in August and while it was clean and spacious and the staff friendly enough that's about where it ends. The room was very dated, noisy, most windows let cold air in when closed, the heater was as good as an ash tray on a motorbike, and it's a fair way from anything as well. But if you got it cheap and were there in the warmer weather it probably is ok, really only a 2 star place at best.

After having vivid memories of Invercargill from a childhood trip I knew not to expect too much. However, I was so surprised with this motel that I hope I didn't offend the owner. The room was just lovely, clean and well appointed having been updated recently. There was a laundry which was easily accessible and usable. I will say that this Motel provided us with the best nights sleep of all our motels in the South Island with an exceptionally comfortable bed....AND PILLOWS. Our only gripe was the ridiculously inaccessible car parks at the front of each unit. Negotiating the driveway and car parks were an adventure in themselves. In saying that, if you are after affordable clean accommodation, the Hacienda is not a bad choice.

The Hacienda Motel in Tay Street Invercargill is a gem to stay in. It is clean and comfortable with every amenity available. The rooms are well decorated with homely touches like cushions and flowers. The information available is informative and the management are excellent, very helpful and considerate. A great place to stay in Invercargill.

We picked this place last minute on our road trip around South Island. Very friendly staff, gave us great recommendations on what to see in the area. Nice place to stay. Wifi didn't work in our room, we had to go by the reception area to get connected.

What a great find this place was. Comfortable beds well equipped kitchen and 100% spotlessly clean. Welcoming staff and only 5 mins from city centre. Absolutely would stay again and even though it is by main highway not at all noisey
