We got the two bed motel into. It was dated but lovely and clean and allot bigger then expected. The beds were very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms well appointed. The icing on the cake was Connie the beautiful cat who spent the evening with us. I would stay here again.

We found the two bedroom apartment to be surprisingly roomy accommodation, clean, warm and comfortable. There's a full size cooker, big dining table and loads of room for a family to stay. Thanks for a really pleasant stay!

This motel has made little progress since I stayed here eight years ago. The paint is still chipped round the doorstep, paint is flaking from the ceilings, wind whistles through the shut door. Two of the four dining chairs were downright dangerous, being very wobbly. The other two weren't much better. Shower only barely adequate with water pressure. The tissue box had only one tissue! The drawers and a cupboard did not have knobs. Cutlery very large in size. No heatpump but existing heater was effective. I don't know why so many places don't install external thermostats, which would provide an even temperature and be cheaper as well! The staff were friendly and helpful. I like the Colonial but for a for little cost, the units could be much much better.

Liked · A lovely property with a view of the water tower with kind helpful staff. Despite the close proximity to other units and the road (we were in unit 1) it was quiet and peaceful except Saturday morning when all the little ballerinas and dancers arrived for their lessons in a dance school that must have been nearby. The lounge area was huge and light & airy, but the bedroom and bathroom were really tight. The bedroom door wouldn’t close due to the size of the very comfortable bed in the room. In the bathroom, getting into the shower was a mission because the door opened the wrong way. As with most other properties we’ve stayed in we could have used more hangers and a teapot! Why give the property 5 stars with the faults above? Because it was immaculately clean and the staff were a delight and all the above will require structural change costing a fortune, and it didn’t spoil our stay. I would highly recommend this motel.

We selected the Colonial based on the trip advisor reviews. It surpassed all expectations - large, comfortable rooms, spotless, all the amenities we could ask for including kitchen, teas and coffee, access to a washing machine and a TV with Netflix. The manager was incredibly helpful and provided outstanding service. Highly recommended!
