The Lodges were the best accommodation we stayed at in the South Island by far. Wonderful well-appointed self-contained, one-bedroom units. The design and attention to detail in every aspect is outstanding, super clean, modern and quiet. The self serve in-room breakfast was such a nice touch. We would go back to Invercargill just to stay there. Transport World is well worth a visit also and it is right on the doorstep of the Lodges. Well done to the staff and thanks.
Hands down the most comfortable bed EVER it was like a cuddle. So cosy. The shower was incredible, the water pressure was fabulous. Very quaint cottages, immaculately clean and nice and quiet. Highly recommend. Close to town and would definitely stay again. Thanks so much.
We stayed in the Lollie room and just absolutely loved it! We really appreciated the finer, subtle touches that other guests too busy looking for their butter sachets and yogurt obviously missed! The service we experienced was impeccable. It was made clear to us before, during and after our stay that if we needed anything at anytime we only needed to ask. The fixtures and fittings were of a high quality more so than many of the 5 star hotels we've stayed in. Everything was modern and almost every power point had a usb port. The nespresso machine was a god send and although you find these in many hotels, this is the first one I've come across with a milk frother, just delightful!) The shower was incredible, 5 different settings, I'm getting one of those! The linen sheets and scrumptiously soft beds just gave us the best sleeps away from home, such a pleasure! Oh and we also loved the curtains ;) just gorgeous! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!…
A group of four adults booked the Lollie Suite for 3 nights. Knowing it was a treat to stay in such expensive surrounds, we expected top notch apartments and servicing. Alas, probably the worst service I have experienced. Four adults paying for accommodation with a continental breakfast provided. However, there was not the options for four people to have a full continental. THe first day had toast for two people and yoghurt for two. The next day, there was toast for four - BUT there were only two butter servings and the orange juice had not been replaced. HENCE... not impressed - everymorning, each of us should have been able to have toast, juice, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Alas, everymorning we had to negotiate what each other was having as there was not enough to go around. Further to the lack of breakfast, we suspect that a daily service equated to make the beds, put a couple of things in the breakfast thing, place the remotes neatly on the table and spray room cleaning stuff around. The shower was never cleaned, we had to ask for more toilet paper, and the towels were not replaced daily. Floors were not vacuumed nor were surfaces fully wiped - crumbs on tabletops. Basic cleaning not carried out and therefore it was certainly not worth the monery we paid. Currently, the newly renovated flats with their themes, high-end equipment, and presentation are nice (although a couple of pieces of artwork were falling off - that needs to be tidied up), but the service was a real disappointment. I would not recommend this lodge.…
