The rooms are great with everything you need, a modern heat pump and decent shower pressure are big points! Nice and comfortable for relaxing in the evenings.

Daryl was an absolute lifesaver this morning when my taxis didn’t arrive on time, leaving me with 10 minutes to get to the airport! He walked out of the office at 0530 to get on his way to work, and didn’t blink an eye when I asked him for help getting there. Made my flight with 2 minutes to spare - this is the kind of hospitality that is genuine and exceptional.

I couldn’t recommend Lee and Daryl’s place more.

We arrived here after being in a small cabin in a Holiday Park and sharing camping facilities. Reception (from Shona) was warm, friendly and efficient. .I was dreading a cheap motel. I was thrilled when my husband took me to our accommodation. It all looked so inviting and comfortable and like being at home. There was a good sized front room with dining area and kitchenette and radiator heating if required. There was a separate electric heater, a good effective fridge, a cooker, a micro-wave, an electric frying/casserole pan and really good kitchen equipment. The cooker was clean and all the equipment clean. There was even a cafetierre with a packet of ground coffee. Milk (skimmed or whole) was provided in a small 300ml bottle. The sofa was comfortable, the carpets clean, the curtains of good quality and there was a great TV. The bathroom area consisted of a separate loo, separate shower and basin area. The water was hot and the shower pressure good. The double bedroom had a queen sized bed with really good quality bed covers and pillows. There was a fitted wardrobe and hangers provided. There is an on-site laundry with top-loading washing machine and tumble dryers. Powder is provided at a cost of $2.50 and an honesty box is the only demand made! I thought it was completely brilliant!

Not the cheapest motel but it's worth the money clean and tidy good size sitting room and kitchenette with cooker and a microwave comfy separate bedroom. Desided to stay for two nights just a 15 minute walk to the main shops and it's a 7 minute walk to the Richardson museum and a 25 minute walk in the other direction to the motorbike museum.

Awesome hosts. The room was very spacious and extremely clean and comfortable.
We had a two bedroom unit and there was four of us.
The front door wasn't shutting properly because the rubber was caught, Daryl fixed it while we were away.
There hospitality was excellent.
I suggest a new brand of complimentary teabags.

Stayed a week here in a 1 bed serviced apartment, everything except food and drink provided. We didn't need the rooms serviced every day which I passed on but Shona and her team came in and cleaned and changed towels anyway. A person could get used to everything being done for them. Greg and Shona were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 4 nights at this fantastic hotel while attending the Bluff Oyster Festival. It was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. The bed was really comfortable and the kitchen area perfect for cooking our own meals when required. A coffee plunger with a new packet of coffee each morning was a nice touch. The hosts were lovely, friendly people extending a warm, southland welcome with a smile. The bed also had individual electric blankets. There was a TV in the lounge room and also one in the bedroom. Fantastic value for money. Wifi was free and a good strong connection. We will definitely stay here again.

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights while touring the South Island and were very impressed by the service provided by Shona and Greg - nothing was too much trouble! Our room heater was turned on for us when we returned late from a day trip to Stewart Island which we appreciated. Our Unit contained all we needed and was VERY clean and tidy. We made use of the DVDs provided in Reception and also utilised the laundry facilities as we were travelling north to Kaikoura. Thanks for a wonderful stay Shona and Greg.
