Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located very near Queens Park and within walking distance of a couple of restaurants, this was a good place to stay for a couple of nights. Our ground floor studio room was clean and modern, there was ample parking and the road was very quiet (unlike the planes which started around 6am!). The hosts were friendly and helpful too.

For some reason when I booked this motel I felt that this may just be another old and dated time warped one nighter. I was wrong, very wrong. Not only offering exceptional value for money for this 2 bedroomed unit but everything was spotlessly clean and worked. TV, WiFi all worked without the need for a degree in technology. Undercover parking for a vehicle was also provided. Bed was comfortable and unit had obviously had ongoing maintance over the years which only enhanced a comfortable stay. Reception stand in staff very friendly and helpful. Overall great stay and would stay again for sure. Top tip: No Invercargill supermarkets sell alcohol!

We primarily came to see "The World's Fastest Indian", which can be viewed in the E.Hayes&Sons hardware store at 168 Dee Street, which is just around the corner and well worth visiting (other motorbikes and machines displayed as well).
The proprietor was cheerful and welcoming, the apartment was well equipped and comfortable with everything a traveller requires. We were also given valuable advice regarding our trip to Sterling Point.

I stayed for one night in a newly refurbished suite (unit 7) - room was stylish (and it smelled amazing!) with separate kitchen area and bathroom. Great location a block away from Queens Park on a quiet street off the main drags.

The outdoor area down the back is definitely a work in progress but owners clearly working to steadily update the premises room by room.

Great value for money and would definitely stay again.

My partner and I stayed at this motel for a night while in the midst of a Tiki Tour around the South Island. We found this motel a 2 minute drive from the town centre, located on a quite street. The owner was friendly and helpful throughout. The room itself comprised of a lounge/kitchen area, bedroom and a bathroom. All were spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the room had all we needed. Invercargill itself is quirky with great cafes. Overall a very pleasant stay particularly at such a reasonable price.

I could not express enough how much I love this place. It’s a home away from home. The room is clean, cozy and warm. The kitchenette is great. The bed is comfortable. They have free laundry service. It’s a hidden gem in Invercargill. We enjoyed our stay there.

We were pleasantly surprised. Our room was perfect. Clean, tidy, quiet and modern.
The bed was comfortable. The location is close to town and Queens Gardens.
Our only suggestion for the owners would be to extend the curtain for the large windows in the lounge so it could also be used to shield the single bed to give the occupant some privacy.

We were delighted by our apartment which looks newly renovated. Comfy leather couch and chair. We slept very well in the Queen bed. All linen was fresh and clean. It was a bonus having access to a washing machine and drier. The kitchen was well equipped. The only slight negative for us was that it was an upstairs apartment but there are ground level apartments available on request. Queen's gardens very close by and I had a beautiful walk through there. I'd be keen to book here again next time we're on invercargill.

Stayed here for one night. Very tidy and clean but a little outdated but a reasonable price. A few chocolates on arrival was a nice touch. Fully contained kitchen and small lounge area to relax in. Close to town centre and Queens park.
