One of the 'older' but very good and favoured Motels. I have stayed here many times and enjoy the spaciousness and the 'extra mile' benefits of staying at a minimum premises establishment.
Very clean and more like 'at home' than most modern motels. And owner very freindly and always a smiling face to be greeted with.

The service by the lady owner could not be better - so pleasant and helpful.
The rooms are a little on the small size but quite adequate, and very well set out with quite large separate kitchen and nice ensuite which you can shut off with a door. Another door from the kitchen into the ensuite.
Spotlessly clean, light, bright and modern. Plenty of parking right outside the door.
The location is just off the main road and very quiet.
We would thoroughly recommend it.
Also do not miss visiting the store E. Hayes & Sons - I've never seen anything like it!.

We stayed here last week and had a great experience. We had the choice of 2 great rooms. The bed was super comfortable and new (a rarity when using budget accommodation), the rooms were very clean and the service was friendly and fantastic not to mention being tucked away just off the main road - super quiet too! Denise helped us plan our touristy activities as well as giving us some great suggestions for dinner - then organising us a lift there and back!

A great budget motel where the staff made our stay even better!

The new owner did a good job. We saw them doing the deep clean from room to room. We can see the big difference when we back from Steward island. Good location and Queenspark just a few minutes walking distances. Bed so comfortable and quiet at night.

Although is an old motel, but that's what we need. Closed to the Queenspark and a good restaurant just 2 minutes walking distance. Closed to the town. Clean and tidy with comfy beds.
They just change the new owner, everything was so clean than before.

We stayed here for two nights as we are travelling the Sth Island. Staff are wonderful.
The first unit we looked at was a one bedroom but it was very dated looked like it was built in the 60’s but it was spacious and clean and provided a stove and cooking utensils.
We chose a studio which appeared to have been renovated and more modern than the other. The cupboards are older but that age of the building doesn’t interfere with the quality of the stay. the bed was very comfortable and there was sufficient cooking utensils to make a full meal. The laundry was washing machine that is $2 for a load which is cheap!
If you are looking for 5 star this isn’t it but if you are looking for comfort and convenience this is it. It is close to centre of town as well.

The owners were so friendly. Being able to be picked up and dropped off at the airport made a huge difference, plus being able to leave my luggage in the office after checkout.

Pleasant 20 minute walk into town.

Units are self-contained. There was parking, and a playground too (not that I used either).

Only downside was no air-conditioning which may be an issue in summer. That said, the windows open on both sides and a pleasant breeze cooled the place down nicely.

Will definitely stay there again if I go back to Invercargill.

We stayed for 4 nights. It's got everything we needed. And the people there were so lovely. Highly recommend. Close to city and bus stops too. Has free WiFi and washing facilities as well as a play area for kids. Perfect for a family or even a single person passing through. The grounds were clean and tidy and they even had pansys growing in the little gardens outside the windows of the units.

Where to start, rooms were clean but cobwebs hanging down. Could do with a new coat of paint in all rooms. No clean towels on the second day. Mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. Bathroom sink was very old sunken lower than the rest of the cabinet, was very dirty. Shower was over a bath we were not told this, was not good for my older friend. No Wifi like it said there was. I do not recommend this place to stay at is it was not that cheap. Next time we will find another better place to stay at.

I stayed here for 7 nights. Found everything very clean and comfortable. More items supplied than what you normally would get in a motel room. Unit was well serviced with extremely friendly and obliging owners. I was picked up from my bus and duly delivered back again to catch the bus back home. Motel is very handy to the city, found it very well placed to most places. The other units were full every night I was there, so obviously a very popular motel.

"This is the oldest motel in Invercargill, which is why it has a real bath in the bathroom. This was very important for me. It was spacious and comfy, perfect for our needs."
