I chose this place for its close proximity to walk into Dunedin and also opposite the Botanical Gardens, with free parking. We chose a two bedroom 2 storey unit with a King and Queen bedroom with good kitchen, dining and lounge area and spacious bathroom. Quality, comfortable beds, linen and towels with a good selection of toiletries, dressing gowns and slippers (you don't get these very often even in 4 star hotels - nice touch Aria). Milk was offered on arrival and very obligingly gave us a unit 3 hours prior to check in as arrived early. I will definitely stay again and have already reccommended to friends who plan to visit Dunedin soon.
We were so glad to find Aria on Bank - the people were so warm and welcoming, the room was spacious and felt like home, the situation was ideal - walking distance to basic shopping and the Gardens and an easy drive anywhere. Everything was spotless and of a high standard. We strongly recommend this motel for anyone staying in Dunedin. Great value for money.
Most of the rooms have 2 floors, staff were polite and guided us where to go in Dunedin. The room I stayed in had the kitchen on the top floor, and all the rooms on the bottom floor. Would stay here again in the future.
Jenny and Mao were so lovely and made check-in a breeze. The hotel is easy to locate and sits close to the state highway entry and exit out of Dunedin (North end). The uni itself is clean, modern and very relaxing. The supermarket is located nearby, and so are the Dunedin botanic gardens, while the CBD/Octagon is about a 25 min walk from the unit directly along George Street. We found the kitchen to be well stocked and had everything we needed, and it was nice to have the option to order a continental breakfast to your room. Should you be missing anything there is a wee town centre and shops just around the corner. I loved staying here. So convenient. Would definitely stay again!
We had seen this motel advertised on the internet but booked it when we arrived as plenty of vacancies in Dunedin now. Very friendly service from the owner and he gave us a good deal with a room upgrade. Very clean and updated interior with nice furnishings. Only a few negatives, it had lots of traffic noise and all the windows were streaming with moisture which made it quite cold in the morning. Bed was hardish but not uncomfortable. They didnt restock the coffee/tea and toiletries which would have been good as we stayed a couple of nights. Bathroom was small but the shower was awesome. We were close to a supermarket and a 20 minute walk into town which was fine. Really pleasant stay overall.
