Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely owners & quite large for the $130 we paid Separate kitchen, bedroom, shower, toilet. Single bed in lounge with TV & Sky service. Quite outdated in appliances and decor, noisy in the mornings with all the traffic going through but still great value for money!!! Would recommend easily

We stayed in the two bedroom motel room, very spacious and the beds were comfy. The rooms are a little dated in decor, but it didn’t bother us at all. The most important thing was a decent sized room and comfortable beds - which this motel had. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and supplies. The TV had sky with a great range of channels. A good location in Dunedin, less than 10 minutes drive into the CBD, and close enough to supermarkets and other shops. Would stay here again next time we’re in Dunedin.

As has been previously stated this motel has very spacious apartments, we had a 2 bedroom one and it was very roomy. The rooms are beginning to look dated and suffer, as do many places in New Zealand from a lack of plug sockets for charging phones etc, I think many were built before tec became so commonplace. The owner was very friendly and helpful and you could park your car beneath the units in an open garage which was useful. The motel is near state highway 1 and the railway, but even so was not overly noisy, it is however a fair way out of the city centre. All in all this is a perfectly adequate place to stay on a visit to Dunedin

A little way out of town but easy to find.. Very accommodating owner. Motel was a little dated in its decor but very spacious - was almost like having your own bungalow! Good parking, in own garage if you wanted it. Laundry facilities on site. Highly recommended.

This was a good place to stay on our trip but it’s looking a bit dated. Room was clean, if cramped, reception very friendly, garages available, close to local tavern/restaurant/shops microwave and washing up bowl in room. Wi-fi fast, reliable, unlimited and free. Believe larger better equipped rooms available.

This is a fairly typical motel by New Zealand standards. It has everything you need for a base including a full kitchen. What it lacks is a little imagination and updating, but for a touring stop, we could live with that. Hosts very friendly and on site laundry a plus.

Exactly what we needed. 2 bedrooms. Single beds for 2 kids. And QS for adults. Good location a little south of town. Very clean. A little dated with wooden features. A lick of white paint would really update it. Jeff very helpful and attentive
