A little out of town but a bus makes an easy trip if needed. Some motel rooms were being refurbished as some rooms were a little tired but were clean which is the main thing. We asked for and got a ground floor unit..thank you. The motel is a very short walk to the Uni and thus had lots of noisy students in the early evening but all was very quiet by about 9pm. Reception staff and the manager were all very obliging Reliable Wifi was a bit of an issue but staff got onto their technical supplier very quickly which was great. Good heating in the room made for a good night. We would stay again!

Even though this motel was located close to the city, it was very quite and comfortable. 2 separate rooms, bedroom and small kitchen and lounge every thing that you need. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.

This motel was on a very busy one way street, but was very quiet at night with obviously double glazed windows. Very handy to eateries and close to town and walking distance to Forsyth Barr Stadium. Great service on arrival and our unit was very clean and tidy.

Reception staff/manager very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and towels changed regularly. There wasn't much more we needed to make it feel like home for eating. Wasn't that far from the town and various eating places.

If you are a fan of the show Little Britain, you will love the reception at Cable Court Motel. I travel for work and I Stay in different hotels and motels all over NZ and the world but never have I come across someone so perfectly suited for the COMPUTER SAYS NO role than the person who greeted me at reception. Roll into Dunedin on the tail of a crossfire hurricane and meet the receptionist at #cablecourtmotel who is straight out of Little Britain. I am usually booked under my clients name. Its not a tricky one. No booking under that name. We do have one under... I give her the reservation number. We dont DO reservation numbers. I ring our lovely reservations lady and hand the phone to the little britain receptionist. In doing so I clearly see the daily print out on her desk with my clients name IN BOLD PRINT. There is the reservation I say. ITS NOT IN MY SYSTEM she says. Its ON YOUR ROOM LIST I seethe. She tries the same approach with our reservation lady who is streets ahead of her. AND THEN SHE DISCONNECTS THE CALL saying to me SHE DOESNT WANT TO TALK TO YEEEWWW I didn’t know whether to applaud or change the channel. I asked my lovely reservation lady to never book me here again. The room are clean and tidy. The beds are as tired as the receptionist who was on duty Sunday 15th Other staff are lovely and chatty.
