Detailed Reviews
Beautiful and spotlessly clean 2 story apartment.
Lovely host. Cecylia gave us a very warm welcome and great information of local places of interest and places to eat. The apartment was extremely welcoming with lovely dining and lounge room , also lovely comfortable beds.
Beautiful courtyard garden.
My only constructive criticism would be that a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms that only includes 1 toilet.

The host was absolutely amazing from texting us beforehand to see when we were arriving to ensure the heatpumps were on as the weather was cold unexpectedly to the lovely coffee and chocolate left for us on arrival.
She also arranged for an extra key for us.
The rooms were lovely, the apartments smelt clean. Compared to an apartment we stayed at in Queenstown a month earlier which was more expensive this was far more superior.
The beds were comfortable.
Your cars are parked off the road and can't be seen.
Due to my health issues I needed to catch a cab into town for our concert and it was only $11.
We will definitely be back.

We raced out of Auckland before a Covid lockdown to get our daughter to Uni on time. It meant we had to change our accom to a full week and the owner was very accommodating. I have already recommended this location to friends. We stayed in 3 bdrm 2 storey house. The photo was our view from the dining room.

Really well presented and kept. The local coffee and choc was a lovely welcome. We also met Cecilia those owner and she was both lovely and helpful. Very warm apartment. The only thing to consider is yes, there are two bathrooms, but only one loo (in the 3BR) - just something to consider if you have a full house! Definitely recommend for a visit to Dunedin.

Plenty of room in an older style large apartment with lots of space. Cooking facilities, and separate dining and lounge room space. Clean.
Tricky to find. No signage from the road. No sign to any form of reception area. We were greeted by the manager in the driveway.
A few odd things though. Some properties make sure that the room is warm when you arrive. Not here! All the windows open on arrival in close to freezing temperatures. We were charged in the morning for using the wireless Internet access and the dryer. No indication in advance we would be charged for these things. How did the manager know we used the dryer? Made me feel spied upon.

We three singles stayed in a three bedroom apartment. Two bathrooms was a bonus, especially with two of the bedrooms downstairs, but a hassle for the occupant of the upstairs bedroom. The unit is spacious with a large open plan living/dining room and good sized kitchen.
Another bonus was having a free washing machine and dryer in the unit. We didn't need the dryer as there were two clothes lines outside.
Wifi is free, but very unstable and slow. Works best in the upstairs bedroom, but a lot of moving around the room is required to get a signal. We found this extremely frustrating especially when three of us were trying to access the internet.
The units are located very close to downtown and would be an easy walk there, but a steep walk home.
The hosts live in a house at the top of the drive, but we didn't see much of them. All communication was done via mobile phone. Very gracious people though.
I would certainly stay at Heriot Lane again.

Had a wonderfully relaxing stay here. Sylvia (manager) was fantastic and even came to meet us at the bottom of the lane when we were lost even though it was past 11pm. The apartment (6) is up a little lane at the very end, which wasn't so easy for us to find in the dark. She also brought up extra milk so we didn't have to go out in the rain!
The room itself was great. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The kitchenette was ideal and came with plenty of cutlery, plates etc. Very powerful and hot shower. The room was also spotlessly clean.
The are is quiet and out of the city noise but it's still just a 5 minute walk to the main high street- albeit up a very steep hill!
Would highly recommend a stay here.

Enjoyed the independence and tranquility of the apartment. Everything was there full kitchen and laundry, which made our week stay (4 of us) very convenient.

This apartment was on a hill in a residential neighborhood overlooking Dunedin. Very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a pleasant patio garden outside. The in-unit washer and dryer was a nice plus. The apartments are located very news Olveston House. We enjoyed the walk from there downtown, though the trip back to the apartment may be too steep for some guests.
