I stayed at an executive room at the motel for two nights while visiting Dunedin in a long weekend. The motel is located in George Street that extends from Octagon, the city centre's plaza. The street seems to be full of motels. While this one is relatively far away from the city centre, the motel compound looks well-maintained and modern. My room is located upstairs and very spacious (about 50 sqm I guess). I liked the room's good flow with the bed in a more enclosed part of the room and the lounge/dinning occupying the main part of the room. Big windows on three sides of the room bringing in lots of sunlight even in southern winter, which made my room more cozy. There is not much view though, as it is surrounded by neighbouring motels and local residences. The room is nicely…
Wonderfully surprised by this delightful, hip, and cosy spot. Best accommodations in neighborhood by far. Easy walking distance to Gardens, City Centre, University. Only a block or two from our son’s apartment which was great. Friendly and gracious staff. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Trying to find accommodation upon arriving to Dunedin we chose Beechwood Boutique. Well what a fabulous find. A wonderful friendly welcome from Michael and Sally Michael gave us so much information about what to see and places to eat. The room was AMAZING !!!!! Looks band new. Bed very comfortable. You can tell there is a lot of pride taking care of this place. You will miss out on a great experience if you drive pass this place. Thank you guys for a great stay.
We loved this little motel. The rooms are very clean, well layed out, very comfy beds and a few extras - heated bathroom floor, reverse cycle air con, big fluffly pillows. Devine. The manager/owner was so very friendly and very, very helpful with information about attractions in the area. Will stay again and highly recommend
During our last 30 days this would have to be the best accomodation we have stayed in without doubt it exceeds in presentation, clenliness, location, nothing was too much trouble from arrival to departure, the kitchen aids are immaculate only one thing be aware if you have mobility issues the are some rooms up two flights of stairs I am 63 and still was able to carry our 30kg suitcases up but be aware ( maybe a bag lift)
