Detailed Reviews
I was lucky to stay at the terminus for nearly a month for a business trip. I stayed at apt 4. I've stayed in many different places in different cities, from budgetary ones to luxury ones and I'd like to say the terminus was the best. Elegant and thoughtful touches here and there by Antonia, you feel just like home. Interior is so artistic and the place has everything you need from coffee maker to fresh filtered water from the fridge. The bed is super comfortable with a complete blackout room. Antonia even provided breakfast for the day I arrived. Walking distance to Countdown and surrounded by beautiful gardens, I think this place is the place to stay in Dunedin.

This is our first time at this apartment but it won’t be our last. We were staying only one night in Dunedin as part of a South Island road trip so this was a treat as we wanted to be central. The hosts are super helpful and great communicators. The apartment itself is completely gorgeous. We were in apartment 7 on the second floor and we totally loved everything about it. The kitchen is fantastic (we weren’t cooking though!), bathroom really well appointed and the bedroom was well positioned at the back so less city noise (which doesn’t bother us anyway). We walked into the city and had a wonderful meal at Vault 21 then came back and did a load of laundry which is so handy when you’re travelling for weeks. We Airbnb all the time and this is one of our favourites ever. Thoughtful touches like bread, fresh butter and jam in the fridge, earplugs for the sensitive ears and soft throws (and gas fire) make this place really special.

What a gem of an apartment. Situated within an easy 10 min walk into the main CBD it’s perfect.
Newly done up with brick walls and a fantastic kitchen, dining living area it’s ideal.
It did only have one bathroom- which had an oddly placed bath with no tapes in it but that wasn’t an issue for us in the two bed apartment.
Everything you could ever need was in the kitchen including a popcorn machine.
The beds were comfy and everything was well though out, except maybe for the heating. It did require the aircon on full all day and night to keep the vast room with its double ceiling height warm, and it took a while to get there. However it was winter and it was well worth it. It maybe a little more on the expensive side but it was well worth every penny!
Happily go back and stay again.

We stayed in apartment 5. It was well equipped and comfortable. Most of the key sights of Dunedin are within easy walking distance. We were initially concerned about parking our car, but that wasn't an issue with metered parking opposite the apartment.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would be delighted to recommend the property

Just the most gorgeous apartment to spend a long weekend with friends. We stayed in the 2 bedroom with an extra mezzanine loft! Skylight to the stars, views over a park and Chinese Gardens. Comfortable bed, cosy heat pump, well equipped kitchen with ice making fridge! Big TV and 2 big couches..so impressed with all the facilities and extra touches. A short and interesting walk to The Octagon, oh and there's a beautifully restored traditional pub in the same block (21 beers on tap!) . Parking right out front..too easy. Our hosts were perfect..made the whole stay so easy...they were always easily contactable from when i first booked by email or phone, so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again...can't wait to come back. Thankyou!

This family have worked hard to ensure The Terminus facilities and their service meet the needs of today’s visitors. With great communication before, during and after our stay, we felt valued. All our needs were met and expectations surpassed. In a great location with some free parking nearby, these well equipped, comfortable apartments beat stuffy motels hands down.

First off communication with Antonia and Steve and Hannah was very very easy and super helpful. We stayed in the Apartment 8 on the top floor in the corner facing two streets. Just like the pictures, it is very spacious, well furnished and had super views of the city and park. Definitely the nicest accommodations on our month long visit to New Zealand. Without a doubt, we would definitely stay here again.
There is some city noises but you have to remember that you are in the heart of the city within easy walking of most everything. They do have a central fan that you can run to produce white background noise that helped with city sounds.
There is some free parking on highway one about a block from The Terminus that we took advantage during our 4 night stay.

One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. The Terminus is a beautiful apartment conversion of an historic hotel.
Our apartment (apt 7) was very well equipped and very comfortable. It had a nice outlook across Queens Gardens.
Big lounge/dining area with a full kitchen. The bathroom had a fabulous shower and also contained a washing machine and dryer. Wi-fi was good.
There’s a lift that’s services all floors.
Location is great. Right across the road from Toitu Otago Settlers Museum and an easy walk in to town. If you’re in to craft beer, New New New Corporation is a 10 minute walk to the south and Emerson’s a 15 minute walk to the north. Forsyth Barr stadium is about a 20-25 minute walk away.
