Clean, functional, convenient place to stay. We stayed at ground level, and was super convenient since we needed to pack and reorganize our suitcases for our trip home. Our car was packed just around the corner of our unit, so was easy to move our bags.
Supermarket was just 3mins drive away. Utensils and room facilities were so clean. They even provided instant soup for quick hunger pang fixes.
Hosts were friendly and sweet.
The motel is outside the city. Most city hotels charged expensive parking, and we were so happy that parking was free in the motel and surrounding areas. To the airport, we were travelling against the traffic to the city, so avoided the jam although it was peak hours. Took us about 15mins to the airport.
This place is so perfect. We had simple dinner in the room, finished the 3rd movie of Lord of the Rings trilogy via Chromecast, just to revisit the sights we saw, in the warm soft bed with a cup of hot complimentary T2 tea. We couldn't ask for more. It was a perfect sweet ending to a lovely holiday.

Hotel's Favourite
This is the 3rd time I have returned to Milano Motor Lodge and I cannot rate it highly enough. The rooms are immaculate and stylishly furnished and I love the extra touches- Nespresso Machine, cheese and crackers, cookies. The hosts are so welcoming and remember you from previous stays.

We have recently returned home after staying at the Milano motor lodge Christchurch.
We picked this motel solely on the great reviews and our budget.
Out of all the places we stayed at while travelling around New Zealand this was our favourite,
Other reviewers are right, the new owners really are lovely and very accommodating.
Our room had been recently renovated, and we were very impressed with the extra added touches, like the pretty decor, extendable magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom, coffee machine etc.
The mattress was very comfortable, and the room was very quiet.
We found the location perfect even though we had a car, we ended up walking as everything is so close.
We will be recommending Milano motor lodge to friends and family, and we would definitely be returning in the future.

Staying at the Milano was an absolute pleasure. We had a two-bedroom unit that had recently been beautifully upgraded including quality linen and appliances. It was warm, private and oh so comfortable. Our hosts were welcoming, gracious, and accommodating, even when we needed a later checkout to cope with travel arrangements. Highly recommended.

Really great - we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who directed us to an (included) parking space. We are traveling with a large campervan and it was absolutely no problem to park it in the parking spaces on site.
The rooms are large, clean and nicely furnished. The beds are very comfortable, there is a coffee machine with capsules. The bathroom is large and also very clean!
We did laundry, which also worked great.
The owner is really very nice and helpful!
We would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend the motel! Great!

We stayed for 2 nights in a quick visit to Christchurch. The place is easy to find, centrally located and close to respawns shops.
Check-in was simple, Esmae was friendly and knowledgeable.
Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Packets of cup a soup and cheese and crackers were a pleasant surprise and welcome on a cold Christchurch day.
Complex was quite, parking was easy.

I usually stay for mid-week work trips and now even plan my trips around the motels availability. Great home on the road.
I recently stayed in one of the newly renovated two bedroom apartments for a longer stay in Christchurch with the family. The new owners have have done an exceptional job updating all aspects of the rooms and had everything we needed for our baby.
Always clean and comfortable, great beds. Always perfect.

Absolutely amazing place, host went out of his way to help us. Late check in and a trailer park! Loads of little touches, free soup, crackers etc. the smelly bathroom products are a beautiful touch. Clean, tidy and smells nice! Room was quiet, no road noise. Even the heater was on for us with a warm room. And a brilliant shower for the win :)

An ideal place to stay. Within walking distance of the city centre. Approx 30 minutes easy walk. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Our room had everything needed. It was very clean and was serviced every day which is not always the case these days. Some nice touches such as coffee machine and pods and cheese and crackers in the fridge. Fittings very new and of a high quality. Bathroom spotless. Could not fault. Would certainly stay again.

Thank you for your question and unfortunately we do not have pick up service at moment, but it is very convenient to get the taxi and shuttle bus which you can catch them just on the door of the airport, the taxi cost around $35 and shuttle bus around $15 per person. please do not hesitate to contact us if any questions.
