We had to travel to Christchurch for our dog, Toby, to see a specialist vet and this motel was perfect! It is dog friendly and just down the road from the vet we needed to see (McMaster and Heap). Great location, the staff are kind and cared about how our dog was.
The room was very clean, linen is superb, all amenities included. There is a little park across the road where we could take our dog for a play and McDonald's and other eateries are just down the road. The motel also offers a continental breakfast for a good price, perfect for our needs. Our room had a lovely balcony where we could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
Also, I accidentally forgot my iPad and the staff called me to let me know before I even missed it! They offered to keep it safe until we return to Christchurch next week, really appreciate that!

Stayed here for one night. Gill checked me in. She is wonderful and amazing to deal with. Loved her service. Room was big with facilities like kitchenette, microwave, tea-coffee making etc. bath room had spa bathtub. Room and bathroom were clean. More than Enough towels were provided. Parking is free. Totally enjoyed my stay.

Clean and comfortable rooms, just a short drive to anywhere you'd want to go. The host Sophia is very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay in Christchurch a good one. If I visit Christchurch again I'll definitely be staying here, highly recommend.

We stayed at the Addington Stadium Motel for one night on our arrival in Christchurch in mid October 2006.The motel was a $40 taxi ride from the airport but we had chosen it specifically for it's proximity to the railway station and the fact that they offered a free shuttle to the station on check-out.The motel itself was quite modern and very clean though basic in it's decor with a small well stocked kitchenette. Although the motel is situated on a main road the street noise is minimal and there is a convenience store opposite and a McDonalds nearby. It is about a 10 minute drive into the city by taxi with little to see in close walking distance to the motel so if you want to be more central to tourist spots this may not be the motel to book. The staff were friendly and helpful with directions and city information.

Spent two nights here ahead of our trip and the experience excelled our expectations. It's a good location as a base also close to Westfield shopping mall where there is an excellent supermarket.
Our accommodation was spacious, clean and very well equipped. The new owner who has been in situ for nearly 4 weeks is helpful, positive and clearly wanting to make a difference. If we come again to Christchurch, I'd not be looking elsewhere and would come back without any hesitation.

Difficult to understand person on phone when booking, hard to repeat over phone. In morning the cleaner came into our unit at 9.00 claiming she thought we had left, no knocking etc just barging in. Very unprofessional. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Due to the earthquake we were unable to proceed with our train trip planned holiday.I rang the motel and was spoken to by someone I could barley understand who repeated everything I said and just said no refund.
As I had booked thru Booking .com I rang them, they pointed out that although the booking was a no cancellation booking ( which I was unaware of) they felt due to the natural disaster and it was a week out from the booking that a refund was acceptable
. So they rang the motel themselves and got the same parrot that I did, he was gob smacked that anyone should be in charge of the phone enquiries with so little understanding of English.
So booking .com wrote a letter to the management of the motel but alas the answer is still NO.
not happy with response, its not about the money now, its about the level of service, if I were an overseas tourist I would wonder what sort of place this was

Due to the earthquake we could not travel to Christchurch and asked if we could cancel the room without a cancellation fee We wanted to fullfil our obligations but could not physically get to christchuch They were not willing to come to any sort of arrangement and are going to charge us full price for a room we cannot use

I spend 2-3 days a year here, due to a work course nearby.
The staff is friendly and polite, no issues here.
This time around the room was disappointing. The mattress on my bed might have been bought from the Salvation Army, as I sank over 5 inches on those holes. Actually, you can visually check that upon arrival... Then, the main lamp on the ceiling was broken, still working but cracks and spiderwebs everywhere, I though it was going to fall over me during my sleep. And the cleanliness was poor: croissant crumbs next to my bed, they obviously forgot to vacuummthe entire room.
The positives: even though it's a busy corner, the room was silent and well isolated. Location is very handy. And Sky Premiere and Sky Sports are a pleasant extra.
