many choices of rooms with huge yard good play ground for kids, rooms are clean good size they can do better with TV channels. bed is comfortable, some of the furniture is outdated good location friendly staff.
Don’t judge a book by its cover ! Looked a bit dated when we came in , but I judge motels by cleanliness, the bed and the shower and it was very good on all of the above . Unlike most motels it had a large playground area for kids , kids able to play outside rather than stuck inside unit on a device! We only ten minutes to airport and the same to the Nga Puna sports hub . Would recommend for any young family.
Family of 5, stayed 1 night passing through in Sept 2018. Quiet and spacious, with big area for kids. Owner was very helpful with suggestions about public transport options and where to eat etc. Offered a shuttle service to airport for price less than Taxi or Uber. I'd stay there again anytime.
Stayed there due to the fact that they supported a charge card that we used. We arrived and were put into a 2 room unit. This was not what we requested but it was an upgrade apparently. We originally booked a 1 bedroom cabin which is $180, but on the way there we were running late so I rang to inform them. They told me that they had moved us into 2 bedroom unit( No reason was given) so I assumed that they had upgraded us. When we got there I noticed that there was a receipt for $260?, which I thought was strange for 3 reasons. 1. The room booked was for $180. 2. I had never been charged in advance ever before. 3. Their highest room rate on their own website was $240 for an executive unit. I received a courtesy call from the owners to ask if all was ok as they were not there on our arrival. I mentioned that we had been charged $260. The owner then told me that this was the rate for the unit we were staying in. This was a blatant lie as they have NO rooms for $260. I called back to complain and they apologised and said they would refund, which they did. $40? This should of been $80 as I had asked for A 1 BEDROOM COTTAGE. They were not overbooked as it looked as if they only had a about 4 units occupied. I have not mention that these units were extremely overpriced in comparison to other motels I have stayed at in Christchurch. I would put them at $135max. Units were clean, decor dated. It was more like a unit you would find at a camping ground. Overall pretty dodgy way of doing business BEWARE.…
We stayed just one night here in November but we really enjoyed our stay. The motel is set back from the main road so its quiet as a mouse at night. The Managers/Owners made us feel very welcome and were very friendly and helpful...The rooms are very well maintained and clean as a whistle. The hot water in the shower had good pressure and the furniture was up to date. We found the Motel good value for money. The motel also supplied fee wifi which worked quite well.
