We arrived at the hotel the first day of lockdown.
We were welcomed by Shirley Xia the Manager. The team has been very helpfu and friendly. They applied a « special lockdown » discounted rate
We pent two weeks in the hotel
In addition it is located close to supermarket and a bunch of restaurants (which we unfortunately couldn’t test)
Rooms are well equipped : good value for money, I warmly recommend this place

We stayed in Christchurch one night when arriving NZ and one night before leaving NZ. We are the first timer for NZ. We rent motorhome to travel to Dunedin/Queenstown/Mt.Cook, but we stayed in hotel/holiday parks as it's too cold for me and my wife to stay overnight in motorhome.
We stayed at Papanui Court the night before we left. We initially reserve 1-bedroom unit upstair, but the owner is very kind to switch us to 2 bedroom unit downstair with no extra charge (we would like to pack up for the flight and don't want to drag all our bags upstair).
The room is very spacious (even if you take the second room out of picture. Amenities are very good: microwave, small kitchen, dining table, sofa, flat screen tv, bathtub, drying towel hanger in restroom!!!!!
We park our motorhome on-site, but even if parking is full you could also park off street within 25 meters.
After staying here, I just thought I shouldn't have stayed in holiday park in the same street, which is even more expensive but much less comfortable (kiwi cabin in top 10).
Location wise, you got Northland mall with 2 supermarket chains, within 200-300 meters away.
Will definitely come back here.

The owners of Papanui court are very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was renovatd to be access-friendly and was warm, spacious and had all the amenities you would need from a motel. Little touches like cookies and crisps being left for you each day (free of charge) were wonderful - and the electric blanket on the bed was heavenly!

Worst motel I have ever stayed at!!! Rooms filthy, black cobwebs in room, linen stained!!! The grounds a mess. Garden and lawns overgrown. I actually think people live in these units as dirty dog bowls outside rooms. Advertising totally misleading I think the pictures must have been taken 10 years ago!!! Would never return and would not recommend to anyone

Comfortable beds but that's all it's got going for it. Awake most the night with people who live in the unit next door coming and going all hours. No consideration for anyone staying. Only stayed one night. No good if you want to relax

The motel has not changed since last time we were there. Our first visit was when the motel was reasonably new and 2 years later I am pleased to say it is still exceptionally clean.

We booked this motel when our usual motel had no vacancy. What a lovely surprise! The units are large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The service was very good, friendly and helpful. We asked for a quiet unit and were given one which was extremely quiet. Check in after hours was easy and welcoming. Thank you to all at Papanui court motel.

Pleasant stay in spacious accomodation . Very helpful and nice staff willing to help in any way possible . Located in a nice area of Christchurch and convenient to all attractions , keeping in mind we had a car rental .The room was a family unit , very clean , serviced daily with a newspaper each morning , something you expect in a 5 star hotel . Parking was plentiful and free and wifi was free and fast , same goes for the self service laundry . Overall had a wonderful stay with NOTHING to complain about .....

Room Tip: Ground floor more convenient as upstairs does not provide any views anyhow.
